My next door neighbor, the only decent one we have had since the first one we had and he moved has esophageal cancer. He has lost 40 lbs since February and looks like a walking skeleton.
He is a great guy and has refused any chemotherapy. Problem is he is not good shape, we really like this guy and his wife. They are really nice people. Good neighbors and to us they are better neighbors than we have ever had here. Except maybe the first one who was here when we first bought this place, he used to play the horn and loved the dogs howling. He called them his accompanists.
But if you could find it in your hearts to put him in your prayers or good vibes it would be greatly appreciated. By me and him. He is really religious and it would put a smile on his face to know that people were praying for him.
Thanks again for anyone willing to help out.

Thinks it will do him no good and he is right, he is end stage. Will probably not make it the rest of the year. I was gone helping a friend open some summer camps yesterday when he came over and asked Melanie to witness his will.
Is as I said a deeply religious man who feels he is in the lords hands now and hoping for the best. I hope he gets the miracle that he is hoping for but to be honest he is one of many people I know who has had cancer over the years and he doesn’t look good.
So thank you all who have posted and sent prayers and good vibes for him and his wife.
Thanks again all.

Melanie just picked up his scripts for him today and he had more drugs than I do. The guy weights in at 115 lbs and he is 6’ tall. He looks like a walking skeleton. The scripts were like oxecoton, and morphine and those were what my mom had at the end of her cancer before she died.
He is a really nice guy I hate to see anyone suffering as much as I can see he is. So if you can see it in your heart please send him some good vibes and prayers.
I really like this guy, Melanie and I both like him. He has been a great neighbor and friend to both of us. He really doesn’t disserve this.
So if you can find it in your hearts to send him your prayers or good vibes he will appreciate any of it.
From the looks of him and the drugs he has been prescribed I don’t think he will make it the month. Thanks again.

Well it just got bad. He just called and is going into hospice as I type. The ambulance is in his driveway to transport him. I feel so helpless we can do nothing to help him other than keep in our prayers and good vibes.
I hope it is better for him there, at least less painful.
Thanks for your prayers and vibes. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met and doesn’t deserve this.

Missed this too Steve. Sorry. Just asked my Mum, and Ellie's Mum, to watch over him. They will find him, and give him a loving hand to help him in whichever direction he has to go. May the best thing for him happen, and soon. Whatever has been decided for him, I hope he will be out of pain and at peace. Both my Mums knew when it was time to lay back and seek peace. I am sure they found it, and with their help, he will find it too. I also asked Mum to watch over you all, please. Nick

I've been through this. If he is going into hospice, he is in good hands. They will make sure he is comfortable. It's not what anyone wants to see but they understand the situation and can support how he wants to feel in his last days.
You're a good friend.

Horribly, and yet mercifull, quick when this illness strikes. So sorry Steve. So little time for his family to prepare for it, and too much time afterwards to grieve their loss. best wishes, ad kind thoughts already sent. Nick
