I don't know about you, but I would be at least a little disturbed knowing that a predator is trying to eat my child. Either the parents in the video are clueless, or they put a lot of faith in a piece of glass. |

I just think we have become very very complacent about what zoo's are.
It was different when the big exibits were open, with the viewing and up and a bit away from the dangerous animals.
Wide open air left the danger fresh & upfront in our mind.
Then someone said, "Glass will get the patrons closer and more people will come!"
Get people closer, get them more adrenalin, they will pay more.
The problem is, we have turned zoo's into something..................disrespectfull.
It's bad enough we lock God's creatures up and charge to stare at them.
Now we can put our kids 1 inch from their mouths.
And giggle, seemingly oblivious to the magnitude of our ability to do what we are doing.
I hope someday our illusionary superiority as a spieces gets us everything we deserve.
