Search the forum for Project Speedy Econobox That'll explain why I put it on there (outside of the fact that the filter is reusable and will pay for itself over time)
May be rice-y but its effective. Between that and the straight through 18" Cherry Bomb glass pack, I netted about 4 more MPG highway and 2 city, which was the goal of the Project S.E.

For anyone interested: Willing to go as low as $800, provided you agree to be responsible for the tie rod and the left rear coil spring. And I am willing to deliver still if you pay for gas and my transportation back home (plane, train, bus, whatever is cheapest, I don't care so long as I can get back to Reading )
Doni, sorry to hear about your loss Maybe one day the lady will release your 2 good friends back into your care lol

Not to be a downer, but anything near the KBB value you posted is unrealistic, just looked at the local ads for Escorts, There's 14 listed for under 400 ( canadian ) with the oldest being a 97 model all of which have no mechanicial issues listed and with valid MVI's.
Good luck with your sale.

How about paperwork that I have from my insurance company that proves the value then at just over $1800? $800 is a fair price IMHO, and given the market for good, used vehicles that are good on gas mileage, I'd say my price is more than fair. I realize I won't get anywhere near the KBB value for it, I'm not stupid. But looking at the local craigslist between here and Reading, I see them going for around a grand. So again, my price is more than fair.
Nothing really wrong with this mechanically. It runs, drives and stops. Needs ~$50 put into it at most for a coil spring (which is a common repair item anyway) and a tie rod (which really is more preventative than necessary, it has very little play). How many used vehicles do you know of that may have issues (if you consider these issues) that are this cheap to fix? Not sure what you mean by MVI, but if you are talking yearly inspection, it is a Nebraska vehicle, titled and registered to a Nebraska address, which means it is not necessary because Nebraska does not have yearly safety or emissions inspection. But I have no doubt in my mind that this car would walk right through inspections and pass with flying colors, considering the amount of time and money I've put into it. I'm guessing you aren't a mechanic, so you aren't looking at the price from my standpoint.
I don't have to sell it honestly, I can buy my other car without selling it. But realistically, wtf am I going to do with 2 cars? Only reason I put it up here is because I figured maybe someone could use something reliable for cheap. Don't like it? Don't post in the thread, its that simple. Now kindly bugger off.
