Fox news is trying to sweep this under the rug... Of course Romney had 8 hours of air time when he won the 2008 straw poll...

How is Fox News trying to sweep this under the rug when you can clearly see Ron Paul at 30% at the top there, and then the Fox News cube in the lower left?

Well, I know that Huckabee and Palin are both on contract, but I don't know that Fox News is necessarily sweeping it under the rug. I can't explain why Ron Paul won the Straw Poll... to be honest, I don't even know what CPAC is... is that some new thing? Becuase I don't remember it from during the Bush Jr. era...

In any case, if he's so popular, why doesn't he win primaries? I agree with him on a lot of things, but the one thing that drives me nuts is that he picks up on a couple of little obscure things to fight about, and he makes a media circus about it. Like when he announced to all the news stations that he was going to request a meeting with Pfc Bradley Manning (the person convicted of treason). The reason??? To make sure that he was being treated fairly as granted to him by the constitution.

I see his point, and I understand... but why alert the media? For the record, I don't know what came of it... I guess nothing?

I'm really surprised that Chris Christie didn't win...

I wouldn't have a problem with Ron Paul being a VP... but I don't think he has the charisma or direction to be a president. Personally... since most of his arguments are about constitutionality... I can think of no one more suited to being a Supreme Court Nominee the next time someone decides to step down.

Agreed. (Can you believe it???) Hopefully it won't be Scalia (My favorite justice) that steps down to make room for another civil liberties advocate. I want him to live and serve just as long as he can. We need more than one or two on the court. But as I have said before, I am a "more freedoms" kinda fella, and some of Ron Paul's ideals are very close to my own. Not all, but many.

Christie is cool, but I am more likely to vote for him just because he is fat. You cant trust skinny people.. you just.. you just can't! Actually, if the Republicans run Christie/Paul.. I would likely vote that ticket.

Conservative Political Action Conference. Basically a big get together with a lot of folks giving speeches. I think it was Cheney last year who gave the barn burner of the conference.

It's where El Rushbo gave "his first address to the nation" a couple years ago. Lol he was scheduled to give a half hour speech, and was the last speaker of the evening. He just walked in and winged it; and was on a roll... ended up speaking for an hour and a half and the crowd was still hanging on his every word.

The CPAC Straw Poll means absolutely nothing except expose some wannabe politicians who would like to get elected. Obviously, winning this popularity contest at this point doesn't mean anything two years from now. Never has and most likely never will. CPAC in its current numbers does not constitute a majority of the voters, not even a majority of conservative voters.

I like Christie because of his common sense approach to fiscal responsibility. That is his forte. How come you can't trust skinny people? Hahah...

Is Ron Paul a truther? I haven't heard anything about him saying that, but I do find it weird that all the truthers support him.

EDIT: I just noticed that FoxNews.com still has the news article of Ron Paul winning the CPAC straw poll under their list of latest news. Doesn't seem like Fox is sweeping it under the rug.

I like Trump as far as his being a media figure goes....but him saying someone ELSE isn't electable is rather funny.

IMO, I don't think he OR Ron Paul would have a chance of winning.

Ron Paul is the only member of Gong ress who has been a Nazi sympathezer,, this is why he is unelectable,,Ron Paul is the overwhelming choice of democrats ,Who have contributed to his cause to help get the ball rolling.

DAVID DUKE is the reason Paul can never be President ,Ron Paul KNOWS he is unelectable,,Ron Paul hid out after the Duke disaster ,then re invented himself
Ron Pauls, Ideas are not good for America I do wish we could all come home and shut the border and return to the gold standard ..just these 2 things would destroy America

The Nazi,a & commies use the same tactics that Ron Paul supporters use ,They are a vocal minority
Please support RON PAUL,, this will GAR ran TEE the re-election of the Obamanation
REMEMBER the paulbots booed VP Cheney & Rumsfeild, 2 great americans, these people support a man they know little about
Don,t you wonder why in the past not one member of gong ress has supported the paulbots???

When we elect a president we have to look at his face and listen to his sound for four solid years.
Why neither will probably get the nod.
