If the world's top publishers and broadcasters can't get it right, I won't expect such accuracy from the masses on the Internet forums. It's amazing how many times we see such errors in places where they should not be.

One that I found interesting was people confusing the word "of" with the word "have."
I could of gone out after work.
Mixing up their and there, it's and its, etc. makes sense, but "could of" ? They're only typing something that sounds like what comes out of their mouth when speaking, without knowing what they're actually saying.

I have been dating a girl who simply hates the mis use of your/you're. For the first two months I was corrected through text constantly. She fixed me, I now notice it with others. I personally think you'uns need more problems. But I play along for her.

It's worse than doggy-dog. "It's dog-doesn't-return-other-dog's-phone-calls ...." ~ Woody Allen, in Crimes and Misdemeanors)
Then there's "walla!" ... instead of "voila!"
What makes those two even funnier is how many people don't know why "doggy-dog" and "walla" are incorrect. Most people get it when you tell them they used the wrong "your/you're" etc. But what's the correct version of "doggy-dog" or "walla?" Many won't know because they're writing based on the sounds they've heard other people speak without actually knowing what the words are.

When you climb a flagpole, you SHINNY to the top. When you wax your car, it becomes SHINY. If you walk around with your tinfoil hat too LOOSE, it may blow off and you'll probably LOSE your mind. Did I tell you about the time my uncle Jack wanted to ride a hores?
Okay, now that we have that cleared up, can we please, please stop using " 's " to pluralize? It is used to show ownership.
This is Tim's Fiero. His wife says he has too many Fieros.
Why did it become commonplace to use this incorrectly? I see it on the internet, in print, and I have even seen it on television. Stop it. Please.
Some spell checkers insist on adding the superfluous apostrophe. Sometimes you just have to know what's correct (or look it up) so that you can ignore them.
