That is a decent score. 800 is not the highest, I think my uncle's is about 820. 850 is the highest, except for one credit bureau it goes to 990. Does that site show hits on your credit too?

Many places generally have 720 as the floor for "preferred" credit applicants. I'd say you're doing just fine with your number. I have no idea what mine is.
Edit, curiosity got the better of me. Not the best, not the worst. I've never lived trying to have stellar credit though. Now I"m curious how much spam, junkmail, and telemarketers are going to call me. Why on Earth would I want to share that on Facebook. WTH?! I guess I did just share it here though, but it WAS topic of conversation here.

I looooooooooove that score!
I had the same reservations you did when I posted mine. But I could not think of any harm that could come to me by doing so, and I thought it would be interesting to see if others felt that way, or if a credit score was something that should be considered a SECRET thing. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how making my score public here could change the way others looked at me or treated me. And I did give it some thought before posting it.

I gave it some thought for a minute before posting, but I really don't care what people think of me because of a score, or what I make, or anything financial. I just didn't want it to look like boasting, which was not my intent in the least. If that stuff matters to someone, and impacts what they think of me, its more than likely I don't care about them or want to talk to them.
The way a lot of credit decisioning breaks down, is in the 600's to low 700's. Once you're over "the hump" there are very few credit groupings. For instance, 680-695 might be a group, a spread of only 15 points, but once you're over 720, there are only a few groups all the way to the score ceiling, and they less for acceptance decisioning (720 and up are generally accepted) and more for rate decisioning.

I may have been, or more like pride, as I was suprised mine was that good. I figured 700.
I was aware that everone that posted theirs would be higher then mine, but I was unconcerned. Kindda like everyone posting their I.Q. scores (mine is 124). Do you [i]really] feel any dumber?
*Notice the "[i]really]" mistake above? Did I do that on purpose, or was it an I.Q. slip?

Not bad for owning 2 houses, 7 nice cars, a bunch of property, and enough stuff to finance a small country. Everything is paid for with cash, I hate credit cards, though I do have a prepaid one for rentals and such. I could really care less about the 3 numbers at this point. I'll make no effort to bring it up, I'm lazy like that

Despite the fact that I've never had a credit card in my life, and haven't borrowed money since the late 1990s, I still managed a 633 credit score. Weird...
BTW, thanks for the link Boondawg.

Not bad Topher I'm hoping to get there myself one day soon...That is if I can ever get back in the workforce (may have something though very soon, and goes towards Co-op credits on my degree )
Only difference is, I actually want to start a small country

I got all mine from a settlement after being rear-ended by a drunk driver behind the wheel of a city bus in Chicago. Then invested it all in an internet start up with a funny name. It paid off when they went public and started selling stocks. You don't always have to work to get what you want, a few months of physical therapy did me good.

I hope you all realize that the fico score is nothing more than a "I love debt score" It is by no means a measure of how well you do financially. You could be a millionaire or ever a billionaire and have a zero score. I am shooting for a zero score. Not quite there yet, still have the house to pay off, but I will be there eventually.
Whew! I felt bad about mine till I saw some others. Thanks for the boost guys. I thought mine was crap(even though on the "graphs" it's still not very good). =P

They couldn't do one for me. Apparently my file is too thin on data to accurately build a credit score.
Serves me right. That's what I get for paying off my debts promptly, paying cash when buying stuff and other blatant examples of fiscal irresponsibility.

I don't think they do. Who was it that said a fool and his money are soon parted, PT Barnum ? Credit is a ploy so that a fool and his money is parted before he gets it. EDIT Not that some credit is a bad thing. However, one can always get credit if their finances are in order and they have a demonstrable way to repay a debt. Even using something of value as collateral can get you credit. Part of the credit score scheme gives you a better rate for having a high "I love debt score". Which people think is a good thing. It is not. Also, to get you fools and your money parted before you get it, gooberment is allowing housing and employment to discriminate favoring those with a high "I love debt score".

Credit score also impacts your insurance rates, your job prospects, and lots else other than just "will I get the loan."

You know what??? Since as Americans many of us are very interested in what our neighbors think of us... I think this might be an excellent solution to our credit problems. If everyone was so concerned about their credit score, imagine the lengths that they'd go through to make their scores higher... (pay bills on time, pay off credit cards, etc...)

I couldn't give a flip about what anyone thinks of me. I only have to make myself happy.

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that everyone ELSE is concerned about what everyone thinks of them. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But like I'm saying, if "everyone else" (you can take this to mean NOT YOU) was so concerned about having a high score because of what it meant, imagine the great lengths they'd go through to improve the score? We probably wouldn't have any credit card debt in society!

Well, don't get me wrong, I do understand the logic you are using but, saying that everybody should have to show their credit score ? Why don't we put ones with bad score in stockades in the public square, print their names in the paper, and give 'em a perp walk ? Maybe a scarlet letter ? There are many understandable reasons a persons credit score might be low. Just sayin.

Cliff, come on man, did I say anywhere it should become a LAW? I'm just saying that if it became a "trend" for people to want to show off their credit score, it might encourage people to want to improve the score so they look good. Many of the people with low scores and heavy debt got there because of a show-off mentality (buying things they couldn't afford).
You're inferring too many things from my posts that I haven't explicitely said or even suggested...
