From the award-winning documentary, "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music", comes the first of many "songs around the world" being released independently. Featured is a cover of the Ben E. King classic by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it travelled the globe.

Bought the CD yesterday. It comes with a DVD of a few of the videos. The mixes on the DVD are slightly different and longer. All in all it was a great buy!

Isn't that connected to the Norman Lear "born again American" project? There is a link to it on the http://www.bornagainamerican.org/ web site.

I'm still trying to figure out what a "born again American" is. A lot of religious symbolism is being used but I think it is a secular movement.

edit: BTW, the movie "Stand By Me" was filmed in Oregon, around Brownsville and Eugene. The mailbox baseball scene was filmed on Royal Avenue, west of Eugene. It still looks the same today.
