I am in awe after this video... This is a continuation of the "Semi-car-Semi" love triangle where they try to determine if a car will pancake between two semi trucks, and fuse together.
during that episode they re-played an earlier episode where they tried to fuse two trucks with a compact in the middle and i thought it looked like a fiero in there but they never gave a good shot at it. looked like a white notchie.

man, that episode was great! it would have been so crazy to see the rocket in real life hiting the car, but the slow-mo video is even better!
i also liked the part where they were doing the "car under a truck to make a convertable" and the car flew over the dirt hill! its a good thing there wasnt anything behind the hill!
Wow, they really got some money pumping into that show....
I was impressed by how fast the jet and dust from the tail of the first stage was created, I mean I was just BAM.
Yeah to get what they wanted to achieve, they would probably need to do some fancy engineering of the impact surfaces so the car didn't just fragment in different directions.
if you think that is fast though, watch this video,
only about 6,500 mph while still connected to the earth.... that track is near 4 miles long too...

^^ Definately a Fiat X1/9. They showed a little segment of them talking to the guy they bought it off in that episode. The car seemed to be in good shape, the interior was quite nice IIRC. He said the engine was shot though.
