Well, I`m sorry to say the Fiero has sort of taken a backseat to my new project.
But, in my defense I can say the motorhome needs a lot of the work but the Fiero I can still drive and enjoy it without having to do any work on it right now.

It has been sitting for about 10 years and the engine is a new crate engine that only has about 2000 miles on it.
The motorhome only has about 35000 miles total on it but it`s been sitting for so long without proper care that it had a lot of rot in the cabover which I have started to rebuild.

Pretty cool. Is that a cassette player?

Does it have a toilet, sink and stove?

That's a lot of work--hot nasty work if the a/c isn't working while you are. I just scrapped one out similar to yours--the rot was too bad, and mice had eaten all the insulation off 70% of the wires under the dash. Good luck with it--hope fuel prices drop soon, so you can get to use it without selling too many body parts.Kidney-one eyeball-an arm & a leg.

It`s got a toilet, shower, refrigerator, and a microwave. It does have a casette player which will be upgraded.
It has the large bed over the cab, a fold out sofabed behind the drivers seat and a double bed in the back which I`m going to covert to two bunk beds.
I`m basically going to have it for 4 people to camp at Texas Motor Speedway during the races so I probably won`t be driving it long distances especially with gas prices the way they are.

I wonder if you could put an APU on that? Does it have a cord where you can plug it into an outlet to run the ac?

Yes, it will plug into an outlet which will power everything with 110 volt but I am going to get all of the roofing repair done before trying to check all of the appliances etc.
I was working though today with both doors open and the side door with a fan blowing and it was about 100 degrees here and it wasn`t too bad.

100 degrees? HA! IF it were me the first thing I'd make sure is working is the ac!

Of course then I would stay in the camper all the time, kinda like a man cave.

Well, better go trow on my COAT so I can go to work....

I haven`t started it yet, but when they parked it 10 years ago they had only put about 2000 miles on a new engine that got replaced in Kansas on their last trip.
It belonged to, a guy I work with, his father-in-law and all he wanted was for someone to get it out of his driveway so it only cost me for the tow, which I was reimbursed the full amount, so you can say it didn`t cost me a dime.
I`m going to pull the plugs, put some light oil in all of the cylinders, replace all of the rubber hoses, and probably drop the fuel tank and clean it, and then get all new wires, plugs etc. prelube it by spinning the oil pump and then try to start it.
I realize that this thing will probably get terrible gas mileage, and that`s why it will mostly only get used for little trips around Texas campgrounds.

This project has a dual purpose because I have done a little upholstery, but I never have had the machine to do some serious work and since I`m going to redo the seats for this motorhome I have aquired the following and I hope to maybe put something out for the Fiero world, like maybe a project someone started one time. Vinyl covered consoles.

I now have a website that I have just started for fun if anyone wants to check it out.
It`s in a very infant stage so there`s not much on it right now.
