Pay attention when you go out to who and whats going on around you. A lot of the girls I know always have the attitude that nothing bad ever happens, so they never pay any attention to their surroundings. Some also never watch or listen to the news. At least watch or listen once a day to know whats going on. Dont just always blow it off when someone tells you to be careful.

In case you havent heard and very pretty young lady who just graduated was abducted right off a Target dept store parking lot in broad daylight Sunday. They just found her body in a woods this afternoon. Please wake up and know that it CAN happen to you. This stuff is happening more and more and its really so sad that it usually can easily be prevented in most cases. If you live in the area around Kansas City, watch the news and see if you might know the guy that they think took and killed her. Hes about 20 years old and driving a dark colored '70 Chevy pickup truck. Someone has to know who he is since the store video is pretty clear. It would be great if anyone here could ID him.

Its sad they found her dead. While watching that on FOX they broke in with news of a girl that had been missing for a year was found alive locked in a hidden room. There are tons of crazy people out there. You hear about this type of thing a few times a year if you are a news junky. Just imagine all the stories you don't hear about.

The good news this morning is they have arrested the guy they think is in the picture and he was driving the pickup. I say quick trial and execution myself. Sad to say the system will prob have the trial in 4 or 5 years, then if sleezy lawyers dont get him off and he gets convicted, he will still set in jail for 15-20 more years before they do execute him....if they even have death penalty in Kansas. Scum like this is a good reason to have the death penalty, and I say it should be a mandatory sentence for murder.

he seemed to be a normal guy, 26 with a wife and a 4 year old kid.

actually she was kidnapped and killed on saturday night.
he forced her in to her car around 7:10pm. and went back to pic up his truck around 9:35.
the body was found 20 miles away but i lived close to where she was found for about 10 years. and know the driving conditions.

if i understand the timeline, he would have grabbed her at 7:10.
arrived at the lake with her 7:45~7:55
had about 55 minutes alone with her.
leave the lake about 8:55.
arrive back to where she was kidnapped and park her car in a mall parking lot next to the Target store 9:25
walk back to his truck in the Target parking lot and leave 9:35

one report said they had to do some tests when they found the body to verify if it was even FEMALE!
i'm thinking it would be pretty easy to notice a uterus if it was there.
so he must have done something unthinkable to her in that short time frame.

since he crossed statelines i was hoping it would be a federal case so he could spend the rest of his life in leavenworth federal penitentiary, instead of some nice cushy kansas prison.

I'm glad they got the guy who they think did it. I hope it's the right guy, so we know he is off of the streets. If the timeline fits I hope it holds up in court. I don't think it is a collapse of our society; it's just that with more news coverage everywhere, we hear more about these cases than we ever did before. So it seems like things are worse. If you are older, do you remember rumors or stories in your neighborhood about the one creepy guy in the area, who would always invite young boys to his house for "games" or such? Well, nowadays he's not rumored about, he's on the news. That's the big difference.
