Let me be the first to say, "Awwww, so cute!"

I'm hopeless when it comes to naming critters, but I just wanted to request a continuation of the pictures. It would be kind of neat to see a couple of pups grow and change from this point onwards.

Those pictures are when the puppies were 4 days old. I will be taking more pics tomorrow because their eyes are opening. I'll keep an updated picture thread going.

How many did you end up with?
When I was growing up we had a golden named Emmy, I still miss her, was gentle, tried raising kittens, and protected us 6 kids to the best of her abilities.

I'll throw Emmy into the ring for one of the females

I'll second the awwwwwww.

Brad,
Only these two survived out of six. I have two cats that are terrified of these tiny pups...hopefully they will get along fine. Then the next step is to see how the pups take to the horses.
Dave
ps. thanks for the help last week

What happened to mom?

Just wondering why you would take on bottle feeding 2 pups so young.

I take it they are doing well.

I’m partial to mechanical names, like,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
,
Here it comes,
,
,
,
,
Nut & Bolt

I had 2 cats by those names, ones still here. They call the old van bench seat in my garage home.

Good luck with those babies, I know how hard bottle feeding babies can be.

We have 2 baby pigs, and one baby goat in the house now being bottle feed.

The mother dog is still around, but doesn't show interest in the pups. She is our friend's dog, so the pups are back and forth between our house and hers. We are still deciding on names...so far, my wifeand I used to be big drinkers, but now not so much anymore. Our horse is named Kahlua, so we are concidering Bailey's and Buttershots. A nice combo.

Latest pics taken today. We still haven't come up with names. Frick & Frack comes to mind. My wife still won't let me name them Paris and Nicki. Buttershots and Bailey's. IDK.
Anyway, they are getting bigger.

Anna & Molly

Yes, I know these two names are the name of a current song (with an interesting video), but it took me awhile before I realized the two names could be pronounced as one word.

If there's anything odd about these two female pups or the circumstances of their birth, these are the perfect names for 'em.

Here are some pics i forgot to post. They are from Monday or Tuesday. They have grown a lot since then and will take more pics this weekend. They are starting to bark, climb and run...well sort of run. Also, I believe we are going with Holly and Goldie for the names.

Cute pups, if I may offer a little personal advice, name them what ever you wish but, make the names distinctively different sounding. It helps the pups learn and understand who you are talking to or yelling at should that situation arise. Enjoy.

We have decided that the fluffier, calmer one (with the extra hair between the eyes) is named Brandy. Whiskey is the less hairy, but wilder one. Here are some pics from yesterday.

I wouldn't do it to MY dogs, but Jenna and Barbara come to mind.
How about Mary-Kate and Ashley?
Thelma and Louise?

Our male is named Cabot, after the cheese. Not my doing, he came that way.

My camera broke, so I'll be getting the new one tomorrow. I'll update the puppies tomorrow or Tuesday. My old camera, I will be pulling an "Office Space" on it. It has been driving me nuts...every time I would try to take a picture, it would change focus or shut off. I will gently beat the crap out of it with a bat.

Are you gonna keep both of them?

As soon as they have all their shots (usually not finished before about 5 months) be sure to get them out for visits to places where people (especially children) are. One of my favorite places to take my dog is Home Depot or Lowes (carry a plastic poop bag in your pocket.) It's noisy, busy, and there are lots of people and on weekends lots of little kids. My little standard poodle is wary, but not afraid of people.

They sure are cute! I love having puppies around . . .

ok, my new camera came. yes we are going to keep the puppies. I like dogs, so I can hardly wait until these furballs grow up and stop wrecking my carpet and pooping five inches from the puppy mat. Anyway, they are cute, though. Here are the latest pics from today. Brandy is the bigger one with the extra tuft of fur in between her eyes. She always looks cross-eyed in all her pics, but she really isn't. Maybe the flash gets to her. Whiskey is the smaller, less hairy, but wilder one.
