I won't waste my money, however I will see it for free with a free movie ticket i have.
I am a huuuge bond fan. but danial craig has me kinda pissed off.
first the whole preview, why does he look cross eyed?
a few other things are like how they orginaly planed to use the original car from the very first bond. the aston martin. but he couldnt drive stick so instead of learing to drive stick they switched cars to somthing else that was automatic. vangish i think.
second in some boat scene he refused to do it without a life vest. bond doesnt use no Fing life vest. so now bond will be running from or chasing the bad guys in his tux with a bright orange life vest?? hopfully they made some custom looking lifevest that is black and looks all secret agent like at the least.

This bond film seems like it should be interesting. About all I have heard about it is that the Bond girl won't be so dittzy and will actually share a deeper relationship with James Bond and Casino Royale apparently was the very first James Bond ever written, presumably by the creator of James Bond but they may have meant by a certain writer but I don't know who has all had a hand in creating Bond stories. I have missed to many of the Movies that I have wanted to see in theaters to restart my movie going experience with this one but I do look foreword to it coming out on DVD or the likes. I always look foreword to the Bond-a-thon every thanksgiving and christmas for some reason it just never gets old and Sean Connery is still my favorite James Bond.

for a small consulting fee and a percentage of the gross i'll teach the "star" to drive a stick. for an additional consideration i'll teach him how to swim.
For some reason, I have the distinct feeling that this movie will wind up royally pissing off Bond fans, or perhaps dividing them...and even more so because it's Casino Royale. I think Ian Fleming meant for Bond to have a nasty edge, not nearly as polite as Connery portrayed him, but Connery made it work.
Edit: after reading the reviews, I may have to go see it; the camerawork viewed in the trailer is magnificent, on par with, or better than, some of the gorgeous action sequences in Thunderball.

Thats funny!!
I told a co-worker about the no stick thing. he's a hardcore stick guy and he was PISSED. I giggled about that. But I think the reason i liked the trailer so much was due to how hardcore he seemed to be. But I havnt seen it. But it did look like he would be a-lot meaner and unforgiving.
And jason Stratham should be in every movie ever made. Him and Christopher Walken. But I dont think he would be a good Bond.

Aside from him being a baldy, he would probably be a pretty cool choice, he could probably bring the "edge" to the character that has been mentioned in this thread. Or how about Liam Neeson, although he's a bit older.
I actually started laughing while writing this, as I started thinking of some totally UNLIKEY choices for James Bond, the list just keeps coming. But man, how funny these would be:
David Caruso (from CSI Miami) Vin Diesel

Sean Connery hands down, even though he was before my time of the ones i saw, he takes the cake. I like Pierce Brosnan tho too. This new bond can't drive a stick and needs a life vest. Hell I coulda done that. QUESTION: WASN'T M A MAN IN THE EARLY BONDS??? Then why is that same lady (I can't think of her name) playing "M".

Since were being funny, ----ummmm didnt you see XXX ..hahahaha.
how about Nicholas Cage? Richard Gere?
I am actually trying not to see/read to much about this movie because so often it takes away from it knowing so much ahead of time. I will probably go see it when it comes out.

I saw the full trailer for the new 007 movie today (before Flags of our Fathers). I wasn't too impressed. It could have just been the trailer wasn't put together that well, but I didn't find it all that impressive. It almost seems that they may be going with a bit of a darker Bond in this one, based on the trailer. That could be interesting, if true.

in case you guys forgot, pierce brosnan couldn't drive stick either
yesh he could, for the filimg of one of the bonds he was given a standerd aston martin and had to drive around in it to learn. in a interview he was talking about how stupid he felt when people where like whoa its the james bond guy. and he would pull ou of the gas station and stall.
PS. Thanks for serving are country
