TGIM? got a funny ring to it? for the first time in a few years i know have a regular schedule. well, sort of regular.

i used to be on a 4 on 4 off rotation. if you've never done shift work its just how it sounds, work thurs-sun, four off, come back, work fri-mon. etc. its not bad but the thing that always sucked is for a month you'd end up with weekends off, then the next month work every weekend.

ok so here's my new schedule. tuesday through monday on one week. tuesday through monday off the next. one one, one off.

sweet huh? on did i mention its nights, 11-12 hrs a day?

this is my 1st week on, i'll be back the 17th. the seven on sucks. however i'm sure the next seven days will be very enjoyable.

My father does a similar sort of thing, except its 3 on 4 off, 4 on, 7 off, then 7 on, 3 off. ...I think. He as well has 12 hour shifts and they swing from midnights/days. Strangest schedule I've seen. I can never keep track of when he's working and when he's not. Me... I show up at 7am and leave at 3:30 everyday, barring a machine breakdown (millwright responsabilities)
