Awwww isn't she cute. of course I am partial to cats, having three myself. and your correct in saying youv'e benn adopted and not the other way around, cats chose thier families not the other way around.
It's good to have an open mind, just not so open that your brains fall out. Joe
She is so sweet!! Always comes to us whenever we go down to the garage. It is great to sit here in our lounge window, and watch her learning to hunt and catch stuff in the long grass. Long may she stay with us!!! Nick

This cat has been hanging around my yard since the end of last winter. It's very territorial and will fight with any other cat that dares to try and enter my yard. Thank goodness it doesn’t try and fight off the raccoons as they’d make short work of it. It’s only in the last month or so that I’ve been offering it food, so it’s not like it’s been hanging around here all this time because I’ve been feeding it. I’m a little concerned for it now as it’s starting to get nippier at night with old man Winter approaching. However, I can’t bring it into the house because I’m very allergic to cats (and wouldn’t you know it, cats just love me).
It’s tough being an animal lover when you’re allergic to most anything with fur or feathers.
What a beautiful cat!! Hey, that must be tough being allergic to things you love Do you get hayfever as well? I used to, until I moved to Spain..better make a move Patrick !! Nick

Yes, but not nearly as bad as when I was a kid. I suffered from terrible allergies and severe asthma until I was 13 or so. Antihistamines give me good temporary relief when I'm occasionally around something I react to, but that wouldn't be the solution to living with a cat. I'd be a complete mess.
My girlfriend's kids have been researching which dogs cause the least amount of problems for people with allergies because they want a dog but they don't want to make life difficult for me. I'm not nearly as allergic to dogs as I am to cats, but still, it would make "sleepovers" at mama's place much less desirable if I was all choked up due to a new pet. Their research continues...

From that same website is This report. Verrrrrry interesting...... However, I'm sure the company selling the $4000 specially bred cats won't like this development at all.

Another, more recent picture of the cat which has adopted me. (The earlier picture was taken in July.) He's getting a lot woolier now, probably because of the dropping temperatures, and you can see he's also picking up a few battle scars on his beak from the other cats around here.
It's a shame that you are allergic to fur, Patrick.He/she is a beautiful animal. Thanks for the fine picture! I guess it is a tomcat? Could be wrong though Does he have blue or pink or green eyes? Nick

Nick, I suspect he's a tomcat from the shape of his head. It's difficult to see in the pictures, but his head is quite wide. I think he's been fixed though because I've never noticed any, umm.. equipment. However, I haven't looked too closely either.
I realize that monitors display colours differently, but his eyes are a beautiful light green colour.
It took a lot of time to build up trust with this cat. At first I couldn't get anywhere near him. He'd run and hide as soon as I got within 10 feet of him. (That might be because the first time I ever saw him, he was asleep in one of my Fieros and I chased him out!) Now I can walk up and pet him no problem. Although this outdoor cat has never been pampered, he's got the softest fur I've ever felt.
Patrick, I am HOPELESSLY colourblind !!! And yes, Ellie says it is beautiful, and has green eyes !I think it is a Tom as well...they usually fight more than lady-cats!! Nick.
