It's interesting.

I especially like the hand written invoice at the bottom...

The first line says "check for bad engine". Right next to 9,727 miles.
About 3/4 of the way down the page, it lists 1 cylinder head core charge and 1 short block core charge.
Kinda implies that he fragged the original.

Can you say "beat on"?

I wouldn't go anywhere near that car.

Jeez, do you really lose 100hp from the crank to the wheel? Seems a bit far fetched to me... but I'm not used to reading about cars with that much hp.

So, why pay for the 9,630 phase II 435 horwepower pkg if you were going to totally rebuild it for 21,000with less than 10k on the clock. Reason: you grenade the 435 and figure what the phuk. So if he blew the first at 9700 miles, you think he learned his lesson and treated it well the next 6k? C'mon, three guesses......

I'm not a guru, but I do believe that driveline losses (inertial) are a percentage; therefore the losses go up as the hp goes up. I believe the frictional losses are constant.
