This from a good friend in Montreal who has never had real southern fried chicken.
Enjoy:

BAKED STUFFED CHICKEN
>6-7 lb. chicken
>1 cup melted butter
>1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is good.)
>1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHERS LOW FAT)
>
>Salt/pepper to taste
> ______________________________
>
>Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush chicken well with melted butter, salt,
>and pepper.
>Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the neck
>end toward
>the back of the oven. Listen for the popping sounds.
>When the chicken's ass blows the oven door open and the chicken flies across
>the
>room, it is done.
>And, you thought I couldn't cook.

My favorite way to cook chicken:

Beer butt chicken. Mmmmm....

...we only had bottles of beer, so we used a caffeine free diet coke can. But you get the idea.

i can't tell from that pic, do you have one of the little holders for the can? they sell them a home depot now in the grill section.

i just use beer but my mom swears that a can of Root Beer is delicious. i just can't bring myself to try it and ruin a good chicken.

No holder... can't see why you'd ever need anything held, at least with this size chicken.

Root beer probably would be very good... hmm... may have to try that next time!
