UPDATE! I just got the call to go sign the papers! I'm going to pick up the check as we speak!
That got me to thinking...................
What if, ON PAPER, I charged my mother-in-law $500 bucks a month rent, and a $300 a month car payment? So I went back to the bank with these new numbers. AND I GOT THE LOAN!!!!! $5,000 @ 12% = $172.00 a month payments!
So there you go. I told the bank that this was ONLY on paper, and they didn't even care! They said that's ALL they look at!
I could have had the check yesterday afternoon, but their DOCS (?) machine was down. But the loan passed preliminary & then final approval, and was verbally approved. Just waiting for DOCS (?) machine to spit out the paperwork I need to sign. Ofcourse, I'm not counting my chickens until they're hatching in my hand, in the form of a check. But I should be driving my truck by Monday!
The lesson? If you want to get ahead, CHARGE FOR EVERYTHING! Or at least make it SEEM like you do, on paper! Becouse on paper, GOOD GUYS finish last.
"Lately, it occurs to me, What a loooooooooooooooong, strange, trip, it's beeeeeeeeen."
Greatful Dead - Truckin'
Truckin' got my chips cashed in. Keep truckin', like the do-dah man Together, more or less in line, just keep truckin' on.
Arrows of neon and flashing marquees out on Main Street. Chicago, New York, Detroit and it's all on the same street. Your typical city involved in a typical daydream Hang it up and see what tomorrow brings.
Dallas, got a soft machine; Houston, too close to New Orleans; New York's got the ways and means; but just won't let you be, oh no.
Most of the cats that you meet on the street speak of true love, Most of the time they're sittin' and cryin' at home. One of these days they know they better get goin' Out of the door and down on the streets all alone.
Truckin', like the do-dah man. Once told me "You've got to play your hand" Sometimes your cards ain't worth a dime, if you don't lay'em down,
Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me; Other times I can barely see. Lately it occurs to me What a long, strange trip it's been.
What in the world ever became of sweet Jane? She lost her sparkle, you know she isn't the same Livin' on reds, vitamin C, and cocaine, All a friend can say is "Ain't it a shame?"
Truckin', up to Buffalo. Been thinkin', you got to mellow slow Takes time, you pick a place to go, and just keep truckin' on.
Sittin' and starin' out of the hotel window. Got a tip they're gonna kick the door in again I'd like to get some sleep before I travel, But if you got a warrant, I guess you're gonna come in.
Busted, down on Bourbon Street, Set up, like a bowlin' pin. Knocked down, it get's to wearin' thin. They just won't let you be
You're sick of hangin' around and you'd like to travel; Get tired of travelin' and you want to settle down. I guess they can't revoke your soul for tryin', Get out of the door and light out and look all around.
Sometimes the light's all shinin' on me; Other times I can barely see. Lately it occurs to me What a long, strange trip it's been.
Truckin', I'm a goin' home. Whoa whoa baby, back where I belong, Back home, sit down and patch my bones, and get back truckin' on.

Uh oh, I see more threads on this in the future. And they won't be pretty...
Are we talking about PICTURES?!!!
Come on now, you know I don't go out for THAT kind of thing! I'm ALL about NOT tooting my OWN horn! I'm too shy, and WAY too busy, to sit at the computer for hours at a time hashing & rehashing the minutia that makes up my life!

Nah, I'm talking about content. You know, stuff like defaulting on loan payments, repossession of vehicles, that kind of drama...
DOH! You're thinking, making it financially so on paper, don't necessarily make it financially so in the real world! That could be a good point, but I got a few aces up my sleave.
In a month, my Wife starts Bartending again. That's atleast $200 bucks a week extra, in tips. And don't forget, in October, every Alaska resident gets around $1,000 in Oil Dividends. (this year, with the oil prices, it looks like around $1,500.) Or forced to it, no smoking cigarettes for a month makes the loan payment. Or just cut back on a few "Recreational Ingestables". Worst-case scenario, I can re-finace the other cars and pay the truck off.
I can make $172 a month payments standing on my head! (if i have too!)

One off the most successful businessman I know once told me………It’s not how much money you have in the bank that matters.. It’s how much you can get out that counts. Good luck with your new truck

nooooo !!! not the 'recreational ingestables' !!!!!!
seriously, about a year ago I started taking the 15-20 minutes a day to stuff my own smokes at a buck a pack. That frees up a couple hundred bucks a month more for, umm, other thingies...

Congrats, dude! When I was looking for a house, my mortgage broker told me I could qualify for a larger mortgage if I told him I had room mates that would be leasing rooms from me as x amount each month.

Never smoked cigs before and I see the prices and I feel the pain but I'm a pipe smoker and It is way better for you in so many ways!! For one.. the cost, I can buy an OZ of gooood tobacco for about $3, right now theres a store liqudating its bulk stuff for 50C a oz and it does the trick, For 2, It gives one hell of a buzz if youve never smoked before almost pot like but shorter. 3rd believe it or not..
