yeah that counts. Due to the fact that I'm only 16 I can't play in any Casinos. It's currently my only source of income due to the fact I can't find a job .

Don't feel too bad. Enjoy your freedom while you can. I'm 20 and still looking for a job, desperately. The only skills I have is painting houses (only 1 house, including mine) & sanding 8+ months and I'm darn good now, but finding a job is not easy when you lack experience and skills, then you have to settle for either general labor and fast food, which I refuse to ever do.

Texas hold'em Poker is great fun.
I play a lot of home tournaments and twice a year at the local University with 100-200 people and tables of 10!
My son is 9 and he regularly beats my friends cause they can't read him

I only just recently started playing online because family members did and got me hooked. I am not a good enough player yet to risk the small amount of money I have.

but I love playing....

sorry for getting this off topic but i have to address this. how do you think you will ever develope expericnce and skills when you aren't willing to start out at the low end?

there is nothing wrong with fast food or general labor. i know many people, including myself who started out at the bottom and worked up. you learn, you get better, you advance within the co. or you find a better job based upon your skills. summer time is the best time of year to go job hunting. if you can't land a job now it won't get any better.

there's an old saying, "You gotta have a job to get a job." find something that you slightly like and look for something else. employers like a job history.

I understand. I'd rather use my experience in painting houses then having to work either landscape, fast food, general labor, those types of jobs for less than $10/hr. So I've been calling some people that need experienced painters, skilled and semi skilled, and the pay is better. I have 1 employer with 1 slot open for a painting job and I might or might not get it. I even have all the equipment for the job so that's another reason to pursue painting. Just have to apply my skill and keep faxing my resume.
