I have 99 Silverado- the first of the "new" Silverado series. I think the truck is beautiful. Good looking and well proportioned, and there is no plastic on the body (that's only on the Avalanche, but that's not really a truck). They had it going on until that god-awful redesign for 2003. I thought they would pull their heads out of their a$$es for the next generation truck, but the picture at the top verifies they haven't got a clue. Instead of offering us something different, they go and make it look like the Nissan Titan. Looks like my next truck will be a Ford or Dodge.
Man, that thing us fuglier than ever...

I can't say I'm a fan of the 2008 truck either. I think the part I like least are the fenders. Maybe if I saw it in person I'd like it better. I have the same body style as Tesmith66. I love it. No problems either at 107k. The body style is reminescent of the GM trucks of the '90's with a little more modern look.
The 2007 GM SUV's have been redesigned inside and out, not the trucks. They changed the "front clip" on the '07 truck. The Interior of the '08 truck is a lot more modern looking too. It looks nothing like GM's LUV's (since they aren't sporty SUV's anymore, Luxury Utility Vehicle). GM always seems to "morph" their trucks into a new body style over a couple years.

Nothing too horrible about it from the front other than those giagantic wheel openings, are they planning on offering a 40" tire? Nothing I like but nothing else I hate
From the rear it just looks retarded, first thing that came to mind was like a limo or something. It just looks like they took a tiny S10 bed and slapped it on the back of a G series van
...they go and make it look like the Nissan Titan.
That's exactly what I was thinking.
If they did away with that chrome strip in the middle of the bumper, it would look better, and more like a Silverado, and not like they're copying Nissan. I do, however, think it does look better than the current Silverado.

To each his/her own I guess, doesn't do much for me, but then, I've been driving Dodges for about 9 years. It does however remind me of the Titan and personally speaking, that's not good, styling wise.

Yeah, 1860's tech. The internal combustion engine was invented in 1862, and Chevy is STILL using them!! Man, when are they gonna get with the program and offer ion propulsion and stuff.
