Looks like they have a river of sorts. Next time take along your beach ball, picnic basket and canoe.
Fishing even comes to mind and don't forget to pick up some trinkets for wifey.

You've been looking a gift horse in the mouth and did'nt know it !!

If you are up for a bit of a ride, check out Rickett's Glen State Park (southwest of tunk). It's about an hour away- maybe 40 miles or so. Something like 20 waterfalls, excellent hiking, boating etc.

If you are up for shopping/restaurants, go southeast to Dickson City (near Scranton).

Harvey's Lake (named for the town) is also nice to walk around, but it's something like 8 miles the whole way round it.

Hope this helps!
