Been having chestpains again for quite some time that got progressively worse until yesterday it was unbearable. The doctor sent me to the hospital again and there they did all kinds of tests. Fortunately my heart was ok but they said that I was probably developing an ulcer due to the heart medication... So now I have one more pill to swallow each day. On the bright side, for some reason they only had cute nurses on call. I really, really had to think twice when they asked me this morning if I was able to bathe myself. I still can't believe I answered "oh yes, I'm fine". Can you say "stooooopid"?

I know what you mean about ulcers, Cliff. They can scare the life out of you thinking that you are having a heart attack. I've had them myself, and have been scared many times before finding out what they do to you. You just have to stay on top of it.

Edit: By the way, all the time that my Mother was in the hospital, I saw only one cute nurse.

She was a subtitute for one of the other nurses also, she was not even on the floor that we were on.

Now granted the she made up for the rest of them; 20 years old, blonde hair blue eyes.

She and I were talking in the room for quite awhile, and the head nurse came in to check and see what was taking so long. OOPS! My Aunt ruined it by telling me when she left that I was too old for her. (I'm in my 30's)

Anyway, I'm coming to the Netherlands to get sick.

Take care of yourself, Cliff.

Cliff,
I know how you feel about being stuck in the hospital. Sounds like you stay was short and there was some nice eye candy to boot. Glad to hear they you weren't seriously sick and were able to get on your feet soon again.

At least your meds get to go through your stomach, I still have a catheter in me for the next month or so. It's not a good feeling when you have a tube in you that come within mm's of your heart.

Get well soon.

Well, if you get the opportunity again with the same cute nurses, you'll know what to say now instead!

Hope you're feeling much better soon!

Glad all is ok.
And if your wife was present, then that was the appropriate answer to give the nurse.

Still planning on Pittsburgh this summer?

Lucky you said no Cliff. The cute nurses are a ploy to get a yes. Then the big ugly gay male nurse comes in to do the business.
Oh, get better soon too. You have too many little responsibilities at home to leave just yet.

Get well soon-take care of the ulcer.

(For about 6 months, I went out with a nurse--a couple of decades ago. I will always remember her peeling that uniform off!! A sight to behold!)
