...for a package if you tell the shipper (i.e. fedex) your address?
I bought something on ebay, and the guy said he'd ship it fedex. I had some problems with fedex recently, so I told him to check the box "hold for pickup". Then I can go down to the station and pick it up, and not have to worry about my package being delivered to BFE.
I asked him for a tracking number, haven't received anything back from him. I have no doubt he shipped it, but I assume I need to know when to go to the station to pick the package up. So unless they send me a postcard or something, I'll never know when it arrives. Wait too long and it gets returned to sender.
