...apparently he was in some kind of domestic dispute with his girlfriend.
"MANALAPAN, Fla. - The musician Yanni was arrested at his home after an alleged domestic dispute with his girlfriend, authorities said.
Yanni, whose legal name is John Yanni Christopher, was arrested early Friday and faces a domestic battery charge, according to a police report."
...apparently he's no longer with Linda Evans. His current girlfriend is 20 years younger than he is, rather than 20 years older.
Guess the pressure of being a new-age musician just got to him and he snapped?

See. This is my problem. If my name was John Yanni Christopher, the ONLY name I wouldn't consider using would be Yanni. Call me John. Call me Christopher. Call me Johnny. Call me Chris. Just DON'T call me Yanni. Yet HE uses that name and makes it work.
