i give blood every two months, and i'm pretty poor so i cant afford to part with cash.

the only thing i can think to do to help is build a PC for someone that has been displaced.

just a normal PC with speakers, NIC, modem, CD, keyboard, mouse, power strip to plug eveything in, and $35 bucks to buy a monitor at a thrift store, (it would probably be safer than trying to ship one.)

hopefully it will help pass the time while someone is waiting to get their life back.
i'll have it ready to ship UPS by tuesday morning.

Giving one's lifeblood is no small donation Buddy, so don't sell yourself short. Can't even do that since I had a bout with hepatitus year's ago. Most of us are in the same boat you are as far as $$ goes, and we do whatever we can, no matter how small the effort, it will add up.

I have some old sound and video cards if you can use them.

Hey, Buddy, I've got some older components, not anywhere close to new or state of the art, but serviceable for older machines. Let me know if you need anything.

I too have a bunch of parts sitting around. I have a huge box full of ribbon cables. I have a PCI sound card, a couple 56k v.90 PCI modemsand I might have a video card somewhere around here as well. If you need anything let me know.
