What is pretty funny since I'm from NJ. Moved to NY and back to DE just over the Masson Dixon and have Southern relatives.
The MD line... Falsely considered by stupid people to be the line between North and South during the Civil War. I live within a couple miles of it. A friend of mine live within feet. Literally. They have a Masson Dixon marker on their property line. ( http://geography.about.com/library/weekly/aa041999.htm )

61% dixie I would expect as much, being born and raised in Georgia . Grew up north of Atlanta though so I'm not as "country" as other southerners. I was surprised there were no questions regarding grits. I hate eating breakfast up north because they have no grits .
My friend in Montreal, Ontario who speaks fluent French as well as English, scored 69% Dixie. My family moved to Georgia in 1651 and I scored 60% Dixie. No question about grits? She's never heard of grits. The test needs more work, I think. It was fun, anyway.

39% (Yankee). A definitive Yankee. I don't know, I'm about as yankee as you can get. We eat Grinders and drink Soda here so I think that test needs a little updating.
73% DIXIE, but they definatly left some choices out, side road on the side of the interstate, does a po-boy not count as a long sandwich with cold cuts on it, I've always called them mudbugs as well, and we always call the night before halloween All Hallows Eve? I think this was biased against us Southern Folk. Git a Rope! Good one Blake

88% (Dixie). Did you have any Confederate ancestors?
Backs up the fact why when my wife(from Cali) met me she called me a backwoods Redneck. I thought I was pretty normal but I guess outside of Deberry, TX ppl are a little differant.
Damn Raydar you haven't had good grits then. When you eat grits they need lots of salt, and lots of butter. The more the better . Try and make them yourself though I've had them at places like Waffle House and they don't seem to do them right, they're not dry enough and too cold, and not salty enough. You have to cook the grits til they're really thick and dry-ish so they'll soak up more butter, yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Interesting. Other than my 4 years in the service...3.5 of which were spent in Colorado, I've lived in Nebraska all my life. Last I knew...it wasn't Dixie....

Only 73% Dixie? Must'a been that 6 months in Colorado -I couldn't believe how northern that place thought it was... Kyal-i-raa-do... sent shivers down my spine hearing that. And the -17 degree weather.
Blake, do you remember when we came to get Maxine and you asked if we wanted Cokes? I said "What kind?"... Daniel was so surprised by that and didn't get it at first... up until then he never would believe that anyone other than me called all 'soda' Coke. Better than pop... "Do you want a pop?" "No thanks, I got one, and a Mom too..." Ridicious.

Also a very Southern thing is to say "hey" instead of "hi." It is a very common, accepted, and polite greeting down here. Also, if you are greeted with "hey," you just reply back with a "hey."
