Im leaving tomorrow morning for a short vacation in Las Vegas and Phoenix. I don't know if I will have access to the internet in Las Vegas, so I will be suffering from forum withdrawal for a while. Wish me luck at the casinos, as Im going to drop some coins will I check the place out.

Too bad you're not making it out to the Bay Area or L.A. Well, maybe the Vegas guys will chime in, and show you around.

Im not going to do some serious betting. We have two huge casinos in my state (CT) and I have never been to either one. I just plan on seeing the sites and maybe playing a couple of bucks in the one arm bandits. I might be heading out to Carlsbad, CA. next year after my sister moves out there. Im at the airport hotel right now, as my flight leaves early tomorrow morning. Las Vegas here we come.

Have a good time, avengador! Try to see some of the shows while you're there, if you have a chance. I've found that it works best to start out on the smaller slots...penny, nickel, etc. They seem to pay off more often, just not in large amounts. But you can play all day with what you win, and then work your way up to the quarter and dollar slots.

I lived in Las Vegas for 3 months this year. Slot machines were even in 7-11. I couldnt stand it. To bad I didnt get the job out at Lake Mead

Thanks for all the good wishes. The only gambling i've done so far is crossing the street. Tonight we went to see the Blueman show at the Luxor and had an excellent time. This show wasn't as amped up as the Complex tour show we had seen a couple of months ago, but it still was plenty good. Im on a dial up connection here, so I won't be checking in as often. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all.

Too bad you didn't go a few days ago! Rie and I spent 4 days there... We had a ball and made our mark to make sure Vegas is still there for a while... I guess we only left enough to run all the lights for a couple of hours though... We stayed at Paris and The Venetian... Great weather! While you are there, if you want to do something different take a ride out through Red Rock Canyon and look for wild burros... Rie loved it!

We are having a blast here. Last night we went to see the Blue Man group at the Luxor and today we went to the Start Trek The Experience at the Hilton. We also went to madame Tusseauds wax museum. I'll post some funny pictures when I get back. We also did the tournament of kings dinner show at our hotel, the Excalibur. We have a couple of more days here till we go on to Phoenix next.

Funny you should mention Elvis. The only Elvis I have seen is the one at the wax museum, as for myself Im doing my best impersonation of the ugly American tourist, camera and all. Tomorrow we head to the Hoover dam.
