I really like what you did with Thingie and look forward to the updates. How bout this for an idea:

The same concept, but how about a little Fiero that follows you around or randomly zips around the screen with some sound affects?

I'll do it if someone provides me with a decent pic of a Fiero that has the background cut out of it...side view preferred...

(As a starting point...)

What I wanted to do with Thingie was to test if a few people could download something I made, and have it work on their machines. Also wanted to test out the installer to make sure it makes a desktop shortcut.

I'll make a FieroThingie that will take images that you put on your computer (So it will be dynamic - it'll take the shape and sounds that you want)

So I bounce the ball back to you guys/gals..provide me with a few pics (relatively small, like 320x200 or smaller)and a few sounds, like of a cars starting up (wav format, please) We'll take it from there...

I gotta go tutor some kiddies in Computer silliness now...see ya later!

Dang women! They're always coming up with the best ideas. Good thinking Kathy. Great work FieroRumor!

Won't those things cause your monitor to burst into flames?

Hmm...the background was transparent until I saved it as a bitmap. Can you have transparency in bitmaps?

Just make the background one color that isn't in the rest of the pic...Like fushia (that purplish pinkish color)

I did. It does.

It does that, too.

I think a Blue Dingy Thingie would be cool.

Just FYI...
35 thingies, all at once, will make a dual CPU 1 GHz PIII machine most unhappy.

It never did lock up, but it sure did shudder to a crawl. I'm sure my mickey-mouse video card didn't help, either.
