I sent an email to the Chamber of Commerce of the nearby town, Silver City. I'll let you know of any information I receive.

It's in south west section of New Mexico. On a map look under fierro, it looks like its a couple of hours south of Gallup.

It's in the southwest corner of New Mexico. Sorta between Tuscon and Albuquerque.
I know, that's not exactly central to everybody, but don't blame me. After all, it's a ghost town... nobody else in the world wanted to go there either. But maybe it's a nice place to visit?

Heck, Terulingua was a ghost town too, out in the middle of nowhere, till they started having chili cookoffs there. Now thousands of people go there, in November.

I used to live in Santa Fe! I will be rebuilding my fiero in Tucumcari at my dads farm. Sweet. Gatta have a show there when I'm done in the summer. I bet if we had radios we could goto a long road thats straight and have people look out for cars and we could race(as long as it's safe) Cuz I now very few cars are probly on the road and I don't want anyone to get hurt and risk the lives of others. Just a thought so please don't flame me. I'm for sure ganna go there now when I'm in New Mexico and get my Fiero up and running.

Apparently the town is spelled with two r's.
The Silver City Chamber of Commerce hasn't replied yet, but here's where it is...
I think the satellite photo in the post above belongs in the booger thread!

I'm pretty sure that it's "Ferro" not "Fiero"

Do you know the dates you'll be in NM? I don't plan to go there when it's 120 degrees in the shade.

Got a package of brochures from the Silver City Chamber. No letter, just 5 brochures. Nothing mentions Fierro, but why would it? We're used to that, right?
But the area sounds pretty neat. Check out these sites... www.silvercity.org + www.spiritcanyon.com + www.greyfeathers.com (If we stay here, I got dibs on the suite! )

Hierro is iron in Spanish. Fiero could be a branding iron in Spanish it all depends on the country.
