Buc*Wheats.

They haven't existed for 15 years, but they're still my favorite. (a type of Frosted Flakes, but make with wheat, and 'frosted' with maple syrup flavor instead of sugar.)

Now that I mention it, the chocolate version of Frosted Flakes they had last year was pretty awesome, too.

They were awesome. Maple flavoring rocks. Plain sugar sucks.

Golden Grahams used to go great with Mountain Dew. Still, it's OK with AriZona Green Tea.

Honeycomb isnt bad, but getting a bit sweet for this old man's teeth.

Frosted Mini Wheats aren't bad either, but they soak up an awful lot of your drink.

LZ, I got to thinkin about that cereal & realized I had no idea what a buckwheat is. (other than the cereal) It's called the poor man's wheat cause farmers can't make much money on it. It doesn't produce much grain. As a matter of fact, the link I read, said, if you take a bushel of seeds, plant them on an acre of land, you will harvest back--LESS than a bushel of buckwheat!!

Hmm... interesting. I had no idea there was such a thing.

I'm sure the cereal probably used regular wheat flakes, though, but now we know where the name came from...

Fruit Loops or Rice Krispies!

Poured on either of these in a "Jethro Bowl", a 5 pound bag of Sugar. I like a little cereal with my sugar. It adds texture, color and just a hint of another flavor to kick it up a notch.

YUM! And the Sugar Buzz is to die for!

Why do old people like Grape Nuts?
I call 'em Gripe Nuts.

Best cereal is Cap Crunch. I don't know how the Blue Man Group can eat it raw though without shredding their mouth to pieces.

Don't have cereal often and it depends on my mood - but first choice is Wheat Chex, then Shredded Wheat. Use to love Buc Wheats (hmmmmmm there seems to be common ingredient to these huh?lol).

I had a box of Corn Flakes in my cupboard so long once that it had bugs in it.

The problem with eating Corn Flakes thats has bugs in it is, after the bugs are all gone, all you have left is the soggy flakes :c(
