Shamelessly cut & pasted from the Dilbert Newsletter by Scott Adams:

My Holiday Message
------------------

I've written and rewritten this section a dozen times. My problem
is that no matter how much I write, I keep condensing it down to
the same thought: This holiday season, as we laugh and eat and shop
and enjoy friends and family, our soldiers are in Afghanistan
risking everything for us. Some of them won't come back. The rest
will never be the same.

Every one of them volunteered. They think we're worth it.

Let's prove them right.

Hate to rain on anybodies parade, but that message should have included war veterans as well. Secondly, would you treat a service person different if he was drafted. I'm sure the writer had very good intentions, just didn't come through a 100% for me.

Calif Kid, are draftees different? You betcha. They were somewhere they didn't want to be, doing a job they didn't ask for. But, they did it anyway, and did it well at that.
Brothers all.
