Beautiful car...hard to believe how good the fastback mustangs looked back in the day compared to most of the other crapboxes they've been.
I think if I owned the car (not a real one, but a replica) I'd lower it about three inches, but I like everything else about it. I really like the nose on that car, it was WAY ahead of its time.

Definitely a true dream car. By the way did you know that in 1967 when that car was made the base price was $4,350? Pretty low price for performing better then most cars that are on the road today. If you want to buy one now you would be lucky to spend less then $80k.

Found the pictures by doing a net search for "Gone In Sixty Seconds", found a lot of sites, and one lead to a another link. It appears the owner of this car submitted the photos as nothing is around it. The 67 and 68 Shelby Fastbacks were always my favorite. One Christmas I got a ride in a prototype 67 Shelby 427 that my Uncle drove home (he worked with Carroll Shelby), and it was awesome.

Well, if it's not the actual car, it's pretty close, cuz it's got the same tires on it as the movie car. Not that I notice stuff like that.
Reminds me of working on Taz's 66 Mustang. Ran like crap till we put the old carb from my 69 Firebird on it. Then it ran great! Just needed a little Ponti-action to make it all good.

Man, I saw the bones of one of those in a local junkyard. Nothing left but frame and a couple of cracked tail lights. Still the same car, its a unique design. Almost as sad as the 5 fiero high stack. They have like 6 other fieros lying around though.
My friend's 68 Mustang (coupe, with a bored and cammed 351W) has:
Fiero clutch master cylinder (we converted it to hydraulic clutch and a T-5 tranny, from an auto!)
Fiero outter Tie Rod ends on the late model Tarus power rack we are adapting.
The Ponti-action continues!
Best! Ben

I almost sold my truck just so I could buy a GT-500. This was after I saw 60 Seconds. But then I noticed how much and few there were and changed my mind.

Are you kidding me! That car should be drive all over has hard has it can goes. Hell I would be driving it and have 200,000 miles and rust holes the size of basketballs as long as I was driving it! It will beat any stock Fiero wherever. Too bad they made so few like the Cobra Rs, shame too, they can beat any Vette where ever it dream but most importantly beat any stock duke Fiero. HaHaHa, keep them coming guys, you make me laugh. Any of you want to know 300zx times compared with a V6 mustang then again against a Fiero I found on this MR2 site? You people act like kids!
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Very nice car, I love that body style Mustang and the only ones I do like.
Probably couldn't afford a GT500.. but if I ever got any late 60s mustang that was of a similar style, I'd paint it to look like that, same wheels etc.. no GT500 badge though, unless it was one.
