Thats not all, as soon as we find the keys to our tank we'll be sending it along as well!!
Seriously, our military is in sad, sad shape. One of my friends was overseas in Bosnia and our army was not even able to provide him with a uniform that would fit him. He is 6'5, nothing that unusual. To put things in perspective, we have more police offices in the central area of Toronto than our whole armed forces combined. I think our intrepid leader, Mr. Jean Chretien, has become way too dependant on military force south of the border.

No offense, but what is the point of an army of that size?

Lasest news on the East coast, Canada is sending 5 warships and a bunch of Sea king's.
I guess the theory behind this is that hopefully the Seakings will stay airborne long enough before they crash, hopefully on top of the talibans......hehe

Good natured joking aside, Canada just sent 1/3 of it's Navy as support in the effort. The Canadian and U.S. Navy conduct joint exercises on a continuous basis to the point they are already fully integrated when the need arises.

I was reading that our F-18's now have night vision and they updated the avionics so that they can carry laser guided bombs. You have to give kudos to the canadian pilots, who have been remarkably successful in their strikes without the aid of newer tech. I still wish I could have made it into our airfoce. I was in AirCadets for five years before my vision took a turn for the worse

"Oh merciful Allah!!! The Canadians are sending more Sea Kings.. Take Cover!!!"
On a more helpful note, some members of JTF2 are on their way.
Talking about armed forces that are a joke. Well our navy isn't even big enough to protect 10% of our coastline. Our airforce buys all the obsolete planes and stuff from the USA. Our army has umm, ahhh a pretty uniform
But I suppose we did manage to take back East Timor from the Indonesian backed militants. So now the Indonesian muslims hate us.
Seems in most wars though in history if the USA or Britain needs some cannon fodder for the front lines they are all to quick to send in the Aussies. Which really does interupt our beach and pub time

Canada's navy is pretty weak but...
Canada and the U.S. do these combat navy simulations and so of course the us has this huge fleet of battleships and destroyers etc etc. While the canadians have a few destroyers, couple subs, etc. (No Battleships)
So what the Canadians did was group their destoyers in a line so it looked like a big battleship on the radar of the americans. So they knew that Canada had no battleships os they let this group of ships come right in between them and destroy most of the fleet. (In the simulation of course)
Always take your enemies seriously
