Ahh, the idea will never fly...
Without the abillity to carry passengers or luggage, it will never leave the ground...
Besides having to wear heavy clothing, it will never take off...
If it was practical, the media would be buzzing with excitement...
crash...

I like the video of "tethered hover"
He's tethered all right... From above, AND the side

They've got their head in the clouds, and their feet in the bull-doodoo.

Kind of a mix between a helo and fixed wing, with the wings. Looks like something you'd want a parachute with. Reminds of that fan looking contraption some fool landed in that boxing match a few years ago. One of Holyfields fights, I think. Sure not for me

When it crashes, and it will, those blades are just too close.

Lol I guess the test pilot didnt like the idea of just being tethered to the ground, not much to save him when the engines die that way
but hey, ya never know, maybe if you sign up as a test pilot, you get one for free!

That is just too cool! Anyone remember the 'rocket packs' from the '70s or '80s? Those actually work. Why couldn't this? I'd buy one once they get the bugs worked out (and I get an inheritance).
