I found these in a lot of stuff that I bought. They appear to be clear plastic that has been back painted a silver/gold color with a red stripe under the car/plane. I would like to know what they go to. Any of you car buffs know ???
Wasn't there a car called an "Aero" or something like that? I think it was late 40's. I know there were quite a few independant car builders back then. (Tucker was one)

Willys made a small compact sedan in the early 50's called the aero.

I figured it would be fun finding out what these are...lol. They were in an auto repair garage. With a bunch of 40's-50's parts sitting around in boxes......It's not a plane, although, it is from the Jet age. Auto manufacturors and artists really liked to emulate jets and planes into thier designs after the war and into the 50's. Tail fins...etc. I'm gonna keep diggin'...Thanks Guys for lookin'

2M4 Dale, Good post, It was raining and cold here yesterday and I searched about an hour for the answer. Ran across a lot of neat stuff but couldn't find it. They probably were inside the doors, being there is a right and left emblem. Yeah mid 40,s to early 50,s. Is anything embossed on the back? (numbers etc.)

Just a few points to ponder to narrow the applications. Molded clear plastic wasn't incorporated into any manufacturing process until the late 50's as I recall. Someone mentioned a Pace Arrow, then someone mentioned an old airplane. The Pace Arrow IS an old airplane, however the tail section is all wrong for this craft, as the pace arrow resembles a Cessna 150/152. It does look like an Aero Coupe, as they had a small twin tail section as is indicated in the design and did in fact have a left and right doors for access to the 2 place cockpit. The little red wagon, a Radio Flyer, did have an airplane logo on it, but it was painted not a bolt on.
The emblem for a Barracuda is a FISH, not an Airplane and is a cast part, not plastic.

Old Henry had died, so they got a bit goofy at the Ford plant and did all kinds of strange and avant-garde things; like, for instance, they started using independent front suspension (holy **** !), and this was only a few years after they abandoned mechanical brakes). The prevailing theory is that if Henry had lived another 10 years the company would have been out of business.
