Here is your monthly reminder that it is the 4th Saturday of the month... so that means... NTFC lunch at Pappas BBQ! It seems like it has been a while since I have seen y'all... wait... it has been! Since the X-Mas Party on Dec 8th, here is a quick list of things to go over for the January meeting, most importantly, the vote for President, 2013.
We will review President responsibilities and then hold election, If anyone would like to hold this position, please know that I will support your interest in full.
Discuss plans for Spring Fun Run 2013, a F-Body gent, Paul, might host. Lake PK has been kicked around.
Discuss plans for Spring Fling 2013. I have already been in contact with OKCF club President, Jim Holland about continuing our joint club venture.
Alamo Area Fiero Owners has set a date for Round-Up 16! It will be tax weekend in April. This is a great time of year to travel to the hill country. Normally cool temps, great scenery and flowers, friends and traditional show make a recipe for a fantastic time.
Several of us met a few out-of-towners the first week of Jan to have a dew wipe building session with Stu. We spent the day and part of the night together. Joining were me, Tom, Rick, Jed, Amber, Tim, and visitors JohnWPB and infiniteWill. Stu also recieved many calls and texts and well wishes from persons that could not join. It is heartwarming to see members band together to support each other.
One quick thing to mention... if you see Tom, tell him thanks for helping the development of the website and making sure our emails get distributed.
That is all for this month, below are couple of 'For Sale' type items.
-blake
1) Member Steve Reid is selling an '84 Indy Fiero with some unique history. If you need further inspiration to buy this rare car... Don't forget that the 30th Anniversary show is being held this year on the hallowed grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. "Needs restoration, currently up on wheel dolly's. I have lots of new parts for it. Was told it needed fuel pump, but never tinkered with motor. Would take some work to get rolling. mileage is 52 thou. Car is build num 78, of 2000. Was one of the Parade lap cars for 84 Indy Race. $700 Firm." if interested contact me in PM
2) Also up for sale is Jennifer's 2006 Grand Prix GXP. All aluminum LS4-v8, HD transmission rebuilt last December with 100k warranty, tap-shift, heads up display, 13" Brakes, 18" forged Alcoa wheels, leather interior, heated seats, dual climate control, fog lights, sliding sun roof, Monsoon sound with 6 disc CD, remote start, custom floor mats, Bilstein struts, Firestone rubber. Basically, It is fully loaded with every option available from Pontiac. 303hp & 325tq. A fine runner, I mean really strong, fun, and nice..., but we are looking to increase our fuel economy. I predict a hybrid in her future. I suppose fun will now be in getting higher mpg. If interested, PM me. Mileage adjusted for 175k miles, she takes the freeway for 100miles everyday. Front strut hat bearings 'click'... that is the only mechanical issue I can think of. For people I know I will sell it for $5k which is below all the online values I found. If I list it and go through the headache of the papers and Craigslist strangers... it will be $7k.

Wish we could make it. The wife said no, she wants a weekend IN TOWN since we have been traveling a lot lately. Hopefully next time I come up Becca and I will both have running Fieros since I just picked up a 6th one.
A great gathering today at the meeting. Had several out of towners (TXGOOD and josef644) thanks guys for making that long drive. Also a couple of new members showed up, actually one of them lives about a 1 mile from me, small world.
Another thing Blake got re-elected as President again, when will my plan to over throw his dictatorship come to pass. for someone who doesn't want to be President he sure isn't trying very hard not to be (deep down he uses it to entice J to sleep with him). tried to talk TXGOOD into becoming it but for some reason he thought the long distance presidency wouldn't work to well. maybe next year Mike...

Before this disappears for the month... I wanted to say a few things...
It was a GREAT turnout on Saturday. We had 10 Fiero's and about 25 people or so. It felt like old times! Very nice to see new members join, and several that we only get to see a couple times a year. Thank you to Joe and Mike for making that long haul from far points to join us.
I appreciate the nod as President for 2013. Maybe I can give it away in 2014.
Bryan and Susan did make it home. He was very appreciative to Poe who diagnosed the trouble. I asked him to bring that bearing to the next club meeting for show & tell.
Bye Matt!... do good in the Marines!... come back and visit when you can!
And I meant to point out Poe's new/used GTP, nice car... and Jeff Ruff's new Lexus Hybrid. Congrats on those nice rides guys!... I hope you get years of service out of them!
