If anyone has a 3D modeled Fiero Autodesk Labs currently has a free program called Falcon. It is designed to do wind tunnel simulations using a few different file formats. It will be active until March 2013.

You can actually take cars, they also test atheletes and many other things. Not sure what it costs however..

So seems like there is much more turbulence behind the notchie. Interesting.

That's because the wind went past it, and was like "Woaaaaa, OMG how awesome was THAT car?!??!" and tried to go back, so it could take another look.

Yeah, THAT's why.

The wing might have something to do with the result. Would be interesting to see the result with a GT-style wing as well as the IMSA-style tail for the notchie and wing-less for the GT.

Are the models in full scale and reasonably accurate? Where can I find them?

Different types of simulation. Both interestingly show the air flowing back over the trunk.

On the Indy (which became the 85GT and 86-87SE), it was said that Coe. of drag was reduced by the aero body and wing.

Yes, velocity. Blue is close to 0 ft/s and red is about 90 ft/s. The velocity is a parameter than can be adjusted.
