Hello NTFC,

Just a quick reminder that the regular monthly club meeting will be at Pappas BBQ off NW Highway, this Saturday, the 28th.
From about 1100--- to whenever.

I only have a few notes to pass on...

There has been no announcement as of yet for the GTO Tiger Prowl. I will pass on the info as soon as I get it.

The North Texas Third Gen Club is considering a cruise to Sanger for Pizza or Waco for Italian. They are still in the planning stage (as you can tell, lol!), but they wanted us to join in if we can. Good guys over there, and they have done some inter-club events with us. Here is a link to their thread:
http://www.nttga.net/forums/showthread.php?t=24475

Scott Anderson has a thread started on PFF about plans for Ruckus 11, Fredericksburg. October 13-14. He asks that you please express an interest and place your order for a polo style Fiero logo shirt. The embroidered polo shirt sounds nice, it will be $25 per shirt. As usual, I will head down on Friday, and have some adventures for those that plan to join me. This time... we are going to explore Llano and then go rock hunting for a mineral known as Llanite... which is only found in this unique upthrust of geography in the Llano region. And Cooper's anyone??! yum!

For those that were able to join, the tour of GM Plant was jaw dropping. I will go in the future, if they do it again. I highly recommend visiting this unique DFW institution, if you ever get the chance. Also, Many many 'Thanks' to Jim for hosting a pool party for the club after the last meeting. What a pleasant way to spend the day among friends!

Hope to see you guys Saturday!

yes!... agreed!... very much a nice meeting.

We had 8 Fieros come and go... and several supporters in the 'alternate vehicle' category like Sunfires, Envoys, Motorcycles, and Smarts!...

Really good to see you guys.

Several new faces too, like Mitch (red form) and Sam (red '86 coupe). There was a group from out of state that joined also... I am sorry I did not get to meet you guys personally... I wanted to visit with you at lunch, but then found you had left. Hopefully your time in Texas is pleasant, and maybe we can catch you at a future meeting.

Tim (boostedseries1), thank you for your presentation on modernizing Fiero lighting. I really liked how you stepped up and did that. I found it interesting and a nice addition to the meeting. Much better than my boring droning.

If any of you guys want to volunteer a show and tell segment for the meeting, please know the floor is always open and the addition is always encouraged.

Cool.

You and I started to talk about seats... then someone said "lets eat"...well, I don't pay much attention to anything once I hear those words

Anyway, catch you on the 4th Saturday of August at the same place.

Whereabouts are you staying right now in D/FW?

guilty as charged.

The July and August doldrums set in pretty heavy around here. It is too hot to play outside, and half the club has non functional AC... so we don't do a whole lot.
We are pretty busy in June and Sept/Oct/Nov.

If you are setting your own schedule... before leaving to go home on Sept 1, stop by Plano and go to one of the largest Cars & Coffee in the US... it is really something. A huge show field and massive diversity. It starts very early... (like at 7 or so)... and is mostly disperesed by 1100. Lots of exotics and rare cars too... like Teslas and Ariels... original Shelby Cobras... Callaway Vette's... Copperhead and Henessey Vipers. Really neat stuff. Check it out! (it is nearly a 2 hour drive for me... so I don't make it up there too often).

Definetly worth taking an hour or two if you can spare it, and I predict it will be pretty big since it is a holiday long weekend.
