Today I believe was the last day of my run with Fiero's. After trying my best with what i had available to me i could not keep my sons future car. Financially it would have destroyed me and my family going any further. So i posted it up in the mall and decided to give it away to a very helpful member who i feel is a man of his word. My only stipulation is that the car not be parted out. :fingers crossed: So here are a few pictures of when Hardpact took over "Merrick's Matchbox".... . . .
I'm sure I'll be around the T/OT threads from time to time and i do have to keep in touch with a few members here for some of the things i'm doing for them. I'll try to keep an eye on this thread for a short time. But, i really don't want to linger here too much. Too painful.
My Secret Santa gift was sent out and I'm not really looking for anything for myself so, that's taken care of as well. Huge Thank you to fierogirls-mom for heading that up this year.
I wish you all a safe journey and many positive Fiero experiences.
Edit to add: Tom (Hardpact) did offer a different running fiero that had minor issues in trade and I respecfully declined his offer due to a few reasons. First: Not the same car and somehow I know my son would know it. Second: I can not work on any car where I live without eviction. Third: His offered car was an auto. (this is how.my son would know)
Tom (Hardpact) is a good man. Out of 5 people who responded to my ad in the mall he is the only one who would give me his word he wouldnt part it out unless the frame is a total loss (understandable). If anything, I owe him a thank you. ------------------ "Remember: amateurs built the ark .... professionals built the Titanic."

timgray Because that is all a corvette is good for, parts for the fiero..
I must be horrendous Fiero bad luck or something...
The only people left from the Rallaster build is datacop and TA6Spd, AFAIK, datacop's just hanging on by the thinnest of strings and I don't ever speak to TA6Spd, so I don't know about his situation.
Fieroguy123 is out of Fiero's, and from what I've seen/heard he's not really looking for another one right now. I can see that he'd love to get back into them, but unless he gets one that needs zero work and for cheap, he's not interested right now.
And you just sold yours...

Trust me, in life things turn around for the better in the blink of an eye so I wouldn't be too sad. Your next car is just around the corner and it will be better than ever. Just make sure to let me know what color decals to make for you

Honestly, with NY raping my wallet, two kids, extremely inflated prices on my tiny salary. Don't see that happening any decade soon. If the engine didn't go I would have been ok. But guess its just not meant to be. But I do appreciate the offer.
As of late, if it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all.

Although i do appreciate the offer and you are welcome to come up this way whenever you need/want, it wasn't about the drive for me. Sure they are fun but It was about the first time my son ever showed an interest in a car. It just so happened to be one i like as well. Without being a parent i'm not sure if anybody would understand that.
Rallaster: I'm starting to get the impression that the "overhaulin" thing is cursed. I was on a fantastic track for the year till i did your build. As soon as i got off the plane surprise bills, complications with my newborn, wife getting sick and out of work, etc etc... One thing after another. Personally even knowing the outcome i would still do it again. It was worth every penny and every second. Personally i was under the impression karma exists. Now i know it only exists if you do something wrong. If you do something good i now believe the old adage is true. "No good deed goes unpunished".

If you look in the "dear secret santa" thread, I asked for my ss to just do something nice for a random person they dont know personally and to just let you know what it was. Good enough for me.
Honestly, I only came back to say goodbye. Kinda got sucked in again. But, now ive said my peace and no more fiero so...
My offer still stands Dar. If you need help with the slackers ill do my best to help.
Dave your car is in good hands ....not going to part it out ive had a couple people wanting parts already told them no way !!! like i said its parked at my moms sleepin i will start on it in the spring......you live in a very nice part of ny ... you and your son should come up to my place when i start on it and you will have a place to stay too!! dont give up bud!!
edit: also do note that wheel dolly picked up hulki u my bff car the night before too lots of miles on that little guy in two days

Please do NOT leave. You may not have a Fiero, but you do have friends that would miss you greatly. You know how I feel about you, and I am quite sure there are a lot of others here that the same. You are one of the good ones, and it would be a great loss to this forum if you weren't poking your head in here.
Times can get tough. Even when you prepare. Family. Honesty. Integrity. Respect. These are things I live my life by, and I feel you are the same in that aspect. My hand is always extended towards NY for you and your family...
You silly guy - stick around... I thought my Formula would be the last Fiero I'd ever own, and eventually, things just clicked and became a Fiero owner again... and I wouldn't be if I had left after I sold the Formula...

I just have a feeling that she'll be treated well up there. Although i do appreciate the offer i have to respectfully decline. After two hours consoling my son who is now pi**ed off at me (his words) I would really not want to do that again. The first time he ever swore in front of me. had to be at me right? He did say he would be ok with another Fiero as long as it's the same. :/

Honestly man. Financially after having kid #2 and other things can't afford to even try. Outside of getting a good drivable one as a gift, there is no way possible for at least the next 4-5 years. Finally had an argument with the wife about her spending habits and what IS going to change. It'll take me some time but i WILL get things straight again. Just not sure where or IF a Fiero will fit in. We shall see.
You'll get another one. Don't dwell on it - priorities first.
If it were me, I'd let you have first dibs were it to go up on the block again. Some things have much more than just monetary value. Best of luck being everything sorted out.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Tom (Hardpact) offer you another GT that ran, but had some minor electrical issues for yours, just so that you wouldn't be Fiero-less? And didn't you then decline that offer? Or am I just off base here (I mean we work together and I am very good friends with him)? -Jason

Yes, yes he did. And you are correct. Sorry I didnt point that out earlier in here. Didnt mean to come off as if he didnt. Tom is a good man.
I really have no place to work on them anymore and really no finances to cover anything anymore. If I get caught working on a car where I live me and my family will be evicted.
My son freaked when I had my other fiero "thats not my car! I want MY car back" to me that said no trade.
Edit: I did edit my first post to reflect.

After talking to my son and Hardpact, ive decided to take him up on the offer of the automatic fiero. Now I need to find the funds to get it here!
Once here ill switch the plates from my sable to the fiero and sell the sable to recoup the money. This may take some time to get together but should be worth it in the end!
Thank you Hardpact!

Finally_Mine_86_GT and Rallaster I'm still around and still have my cars. Dave sorry to hear that you had to get rid of your car, but is going to get this other one. With your electrical abilities these electrical issues should not be a problem. I helped you with the fan switch and headlight controls on Rallasters car and know you are very talented with the electrical systems on the fiero.
