Im working on Alibis fiero trying to get his head light motor to work. I took it out and pull the motor apart and everything looks fine. The brushes are a little bit worn but they are making contact with the pads on the commutator. I also cleaned up all the contact points with a wire brush. The washer/bearing at the top of the motor was a little dirty so I cleaned them up thinking that may have been the problem. I also tried the motor on both driver and passenger side to no avail. I have voltage to the head light motor plug so is on the motors end not the cars. There should be NO reason why this motor is not working. Granted the pads are worn they are still making contact. My next plan of attack is pull the brushes out and see if I have contunitouy between the plug and the brush. Any ideas?

Upon closer inspection the brushes look bad. A trip to radio shack should fix that. Assuming radio shack still sells brushes

Question. Are these 2 wires suppose to have a little gap? The wires crimped directly in the middle encase you were wondering.
