I have a cadillac seville with a 4.5 parked in my driveway, front wheel drive. I was wondering if anybody knows what transmission that's mated to. I think its a 1991 or 1992 Seville.

91 or 92 Seville's came with the 4.9/4T60E, not the 4.5. The 1990 Seville had a 4.5, but was mated the to 4T60.

Is the 4T60 good to run behind a 3800SC?

It's better to use the 4T65E-HD that came with the 3800SC, stronger transmission, plus since it came with it factory it will work no problems.

Alright. Hopefully I can find the 3800SC with 4T65E-HD somewhere up here, cause being in Alaska, shipping costs far too much to be logical.

You own a Fiero and want to swap a motor/trans and use the word "logical"? Is the sun out up there yet? Just kidding you! I think it would be tough to get the 4t60 - non electric to work with the 3800SC - you would need to rig up some kind of kick down cable/linkage setup. Good luck on your project.

Yep, "logical" I have seen engines ship to Alaska for the cost of the engine. So, $600 engine gets here for $1000-$1200 total and it's ridiculous. So hopefully I can find a car with the engine and transmission in good condition.That's my goal, anyway.
