I need new wheels. I want quality, not some cheap Asian brand. Where would be the best place to purchase them?

17" Scion TC wheels on '88 Fiero. I got them with tires for $150 (all four). Top quality factory wheels. You will have to machine out the hum a few mm though to fit.

I would say buy used for the best deal. Best quality wheels new will cost as much as the car.

Does the offer still stand for the return of them? I did take a corner a bit too sharply with them and added a minor nick to the lip.

What defines high quality / low quality wheel? Longevity of the paint?

Well, let's see.... did you ever finish paying them off from me? Just a serious question. Maybe that is the reason for me being so short with ya.

I can't believe that you would dare ask me that! After all that I have done for you. Give me a call when you get up later.

Not to forget to mention that you got to drive around on them for a year. Dude, for a young guy, you have some gall to ask me that!

If you want quality wheels, those Enkei's you chose are knock offs.

These are quality wheels

High quality is defined as;

Original Design, not a cheap knock off
Quality and strength of materials used
Quality of finish (paint , powercoat etc)
Weight
Balance
Forged

etc.

Terribly sorry, i had no intentions of offending you. I understand exactly where you are coming from though. I've been on both sides of conflict such as this. I usually expect that when I give something to someone that I get atleast 50% in return. Such as if someone cant afford lunch and I buy them lunch, they atleast bring me back a snack when they have extras. You've helped so much on my car, as has every fiero owner in the area, and I can barely think of any way that I've been able to give back. I really appreciate it all and I can see how that statement was like a giant blow that can be taken as "well, shows how much he appreciates all we've done". Once again, not my intentions. You are an amazing friend, Tony, i'd like to keep it that way.

Out of the ones you choose, the RPF1's are my favorite. Nice and lightweight, but not the cheapest either.

I've not payed much attention to the price. I know the FD-01's are decently priced when paired with those khumos.

So, i have a few dilemmas.

Pretty much boils down to the wheel sizing at this point.

Wheel #1 (second favorite, $113 per wheel)
17x7.5 with a +42 offset

Wheel #2 (favorite look, but $240 per wheel)
17x8 with a +35 offset
17x7.5 with a +48 offset
