on a stock fiero v6 4spd I went from 16.0 down to 14.4 with a 100 shot. On the L67 swap I went from 12.5 to 11.9 and gained 10mph in the 1/4 mile using the same kit and jets. Nitrous is fun but its addicting and get expensive filling the bottle all the time.

Whatever happend to FieroX's video from like six-seven years ago? It was a white '85 GT that didn't seem to blow up no matter what go thrown at it. I think he threw a few shots of nitrous at it and it actually took a bit for it to blow up.

Give it a few days. It's just the start that will lead to the boom right now.

Make sure you add a fuel cutoff switch. Remove the shrader valve and you can just connect there. The best is to use an electronic TPS switch. I got one from Dynotune. Oh and the most important is to get a bottle heater. Specially where you are. Not sure if that blanket heats too. Otherwise your shot will be like a 2hp one

Hey guys thanks for the advice! This is certainly not my first nitrous experience though. Here's my other nitrous-breathing car:

I'll keep you guys posted on this project.

Unless I'm mistaken, those worm clamps are on a vacuum hose. He's using steel braided hose with AN fittings for the nitrous and fuel plumbing.

Here's the results of my dyno day!
We went to "Red Line Dyno" in Salol, MN today and used a Dyno Jet for testing and tuning.

The car: 1985 Pontiac Fiero, 3.4L PR Engine, Automatic 4-speed Transmission

I was hoping for an increase of 40 - 50hp with nitrous, and we got it!
I used a NOS brand bottle and solenoids and the NX Shark nozzle fogger.

Nitrous jets: Fuel: .020; Nitrous: .036

Oh you mean you're upset that I'm not trying to turn my Fiero into a race car?

Perhaps you didn't see my other 375rwhp nitrous setup listed above.

What mods does the 3.4 has or was it just a stock swap? Those 56lbs of torque is what you really feel I ran 41 nitrous 20 fuel when I sprayed the 2.8. Your AFR looks on the safe side.

I wish it was a stock swap based on the low power readings... The engine is stock other than a "260" Comp Cams camshaft from the Fiero Store.

I am thinking that as well..

Considering the 2.8 was 140 stock (at the crank), and the stock 95 3.4 was 160 at the crank...

I understand with higher RPMs running out of breath due to the restrictive intake, but why are the initial numbers so low?
Are you really losing that much horsepower through the drivetrain? Automatic transmission I assume?

Otherwise, very informative thread! Not putting anything down, just curious as to the low readings.

It's attached to a 4 spd automatic. Thats why the numbers are lower.
