Hello! My name is Samantha. I just bought my first 84 Notchie Fiero. I've always been interested in these cars, and so happy that I finally got one! I am excited to learn everything I can about Fieros. I have to fix a bit on mine. For example, the leaky sunroof, interior, paint, and hopefully an engine swap at some point later down the road! I can't wait to share my ideas, and see all of yours.

Welcome to the forum. 84's are a fun car to start with. I own 2 of them. one IMSA and an 84 base coupe. i also own an 88. I'm a fastback guy at heart but for the time being all i own is notchbacks. I see your From PA. I'm just outside of west chester. If your close and ever need any help with anything on the car send me a PM and i might be able to stop up and help ya out. Its always fun meeting new Fiero owners.

Theres always a fastback swap but you'll have to do your own thing with the taillights, the thing i hate about 84's is the wiring is totally different from its later years. Insted of the C500 block being on the firewall right in back of the engine it is on the right side well right by the battery, This making it imposable to wire up a fastback taillight harness. But if you want to do a fastback conversion hit me up. I've done quite a few of them. I even know where you can get a fastback section with its hardware cheap

We should all start a "PA Association of Fiero Enthusiasts" LoL
Lol MAFOA would kick us in the a$$ if we did that. speeking of which do you guys plan on attending frysinger this year? Lilnotchie you are also welcomed to join. Our local little slice of heaven Fiero club around here is called Mid Atlantic Fiero owners Association(mafoa) its a pretty decent sized group and we have on average in our general area 3 shows a year. There frysinger which is at a dealership in the spring near carlisle/harrisburg. There is the carlisle event the biggest event of the year in our area at the Carlisle Fair grounds in the summer. And there is the dutch classic in littiz springs park Its a good time nice weather and a gathering of some very nice people young and older. Also a great place to buy and sell parts. also you dont have to belong to mafoa to attend but if you are e member it pays for itself for showing your car in Carlisle.
Heres the link to the website. The president is known on the forum as AMflyer and is a pretty stand up guy. http://mafoa.com/

Several Fiero owners is WPA and there was a club in this area but apparently it faded away. Maybe we can re-activate it if and when the moon is in the right phase

I remember seeing some things about the Western Pa Fiero club but it seems its disappeared. It would be great to have something over here on this side of the state. It seems all of the MAFOA stuff is more towards the middle of the state, a few hours away. Though im still planning on hitting up Carlisle this year. I am a member of a general classic/muscle car club over here called The Western Pennsylvania Street Survivors and they have always welcomed me with my Fiero and would love to see another Fiero join.

Well, we def need to restart WPFC I think.. Do we know who ran it originally? Or should we just start form scratch... My Fiero is currently under construction and doesn't get driven, but I am looking for a second, and wouldn't mind organizing some events, and get togethers....

That's it. I meet about 6 members and 4 Fieros the first time I took mine to the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix in 2008. One of them handed me a bunch of literature but since didn't sense much commitment, I never followed up. Seemed like a nice bunch of guys. The P.V.G.P. is quite an annual event check out their web site for more info (WWW.PVGP.ORG) great fun. I'm not going to it this year since the PVGP weekend is the same as the 2nd Annual Tyler Shipman Show in Frazee, MN and that's an event I'm not going to miss. I would be interested in joining a revived chapter of W.P.A.E. Could be fun!

I've been warned that if I post that I switch to a fastback there will be madness from other notchie owners! LOL
Its your car, you do what you want to do with it. You work for your money and you can spend it how you like. They will get over it. If not, thats their bad.

Welcome to the madness, you'll never be able to shake it. lol I say either convert to a fastback or go chopped! I don't care for the look of a normal nothie, *covers head in anticipation of the immanent stoning about to be-had* but there is just something sexy about a chopped notchback.
