Hello,
I'm setting up a nickel and dime fund for myself and I hope to find an absolute mountain of envelopes filled with change around my mailbox.
My Fiero is completely nickel and diming be to death. I know that I probably won't get much money out of this project but I will get a lot of "brother, I know where you're coming from."
Here's the deal I got a set of new car take-offs from a Scion to put on my '87 GT. Good deal but I had to drive 150 miles through a central Texas ice storm, both ways, to get them.
Now comes the fun (but I'm sure familiar part) I need to get the center bores milled out. Right?
But...
I need to have these brand new tires removed from the wheels and then drive to Dallas (75 miles) to get tthe machining done.
Then I need to pay to have the tires put back on. That's two chances for someone who probably forgot to get off the school bus to create mayhem to my beautiful wheels.
It would have been cheaper to drive way too fast on icy roads.

Maybe I'l just stick a sharpened pencil in my eye, or ear, or whatever

Oh yeah: do not put coins i your CD slot.
