The top one seems to be an attractive alternative for people with center console issues.... Any thoughts?

I have not used either one but the center console is just a plastic cap that lays on top of your existing console. I have no idea how well it would work if you have the typical separation of the foam from the skeleton. If you have to fix you existing console to make this product fit correctly, you already solved your problem and don't need their cap.

My console was warped as most of them do. I've been reading how to re-glue the console, then how to glue this cap on.

I found the I could snap this on without glue , and used a plastic clip, (part of a desk drawer) to hold it on the sides. It's on very tight, had to work at sliding it down the console. It is a solid fit.

The flash from the camera make the clip more noticeable than it is in person.

Wow, looks really nice. This might be the way I go if I get another one. As it stands, mine is scheduled for an interior make-over.
