Ok So i was outside looking at my 87 and my new 84 today and got to thinking... The wheels on the both of them dont complement each car to well... The dark colored wheels on my 87 dont really flow with the red that well and the aluminum wheels on my 84 dont really flow with the color on it to well either. Which do you think would look better? Swap the wheels or leave them where they are?

i think swapping would look acctually really cool. the brighter ones on the 84 would really stand out on the 87. and the dark on the 84 i think would just blend into its really mellow yet stylish mood that the car kinda gives
[edit] although i do think that the dark rims look more street/race style and the 87 looks like more of that kinda car
i think its worth the swap just to see. how it looks and then if it looks bad just swap back.

I have what looks to be identical rims on my 86 GT as the ones on your 87. Personally I think they look great on the cars they are on now, but that could be simply because I'm used to my rims.

I think you should swap the wheels, then make two new threads fore each swap.

nah, it should be 8 new threads, one for each tire!

but for real PK, you should swap those just because I'm curious as to how sweet it will look, (it's not like you have a job or anything to do tomorrow)

ok, no more mean jokes from me.

jeez PK, not even a shred of the benefit of the doubt that your "z" was a typo. It is right below the "s"

Exactly what I was thinking!

PK, you already got a "build" thread for this car, keep everything related to it in there!

But you can't talk about swapping the wheels to the 87 in the 84 thread, and vise-versa! There has to be a new thread!!

In all seriousness, I have made several "photo-shop my wheels" threads on here, and not in my actual build thread. Who says I can't?
Plus he is asking for an opinion. Normally a build thread is a thread for posting progress on your build, maybe for self reference or something entertaining to read, and not usually a place to ask opinions where you would like the most attention. I'm not saying you can't ask for an opinion in a build thread, but you won't get near the amount of response as compared to a separate thread in GFC.

No harm in swapping them to see how they look, you can always swap back if you don't like it.

PS-Maybe PK did Wheelz on purpose eh? I would do the same thing with an "just for fun opinion" thread.

Do it! I thought the red one would look great with those silver wheels when I first saw them. And gunmetal wheels look great on an orange car: like fourpoint9's coupe.

Personally, I like them both the way they are. Leave well enough alone.

And the wigger comment... I can't believe whom ever posted that had the nerve to do so.

Swap them. Just put two wheels from one set on the left side and two from the other set on the right side. It's the best of both worlds and half the effort.
