Was it a conversion because I didn't think 88's came with an 84 steering wheel.

$2700 is more than I would pay for that one.

The steering wheel in that last pic is an 86+ SE steering wheel. Looks like he rattlecanned the inside AND outside. Also looks like it has earlier year seats. What's the VIN?

alright i might have to do that. im just going by waht it said in the add im really not sure exactly what year it is. but i did also think that 2700 is a bit much considering i got my other 86 for 1500 and it was in better shape although it was the 4 cyl. engine. ill ask about that stuff thanks. and it also has a stereo, like subs speakers and stuff that could be reason for price but it still seems a bit pricey

Just a suggestion but if I were you I would hold off on this one and look at possibly buying one in Alberta once spring rolls around. I am on kijiji continually looking at Fiero's in every province and Alberta usually has one of the best selections for sale. Sask, almost next to none. The one you are looking at, myself I would look the other way for the money, way to many miles on that one for the price and looks to be in pretty poor upkeep.

In my opinion, subs and speakers and a stereo add very little value to a Fiero. This Fiero has alot of red flags to me, it doesn't have the correct steering wheel, it may have had a Fastback conversion done to it, the interior needs some love, the exterior needs some Jesus , it looks like someone spray bombed it. Its missing the Passenger Quarter Window (those ain't cheap). The exhaust needs to be hooked up better. The front turn signal lens is missing. Not including the mechanical condition it is in, 200,000 miles is alot of miles if it has been poorly maintained. Depending on how mechanically sound it is it, its a $1000-$1200 Fiero GT all day long to me, but I am a cheap. LOL!

Sorry, but this is my honest opinion.

yeah, the over 200k mileage is not bad if the car was looked after and had proper maintenance but from the looks of that one, maintenance probably wasnt a real priority.

Even for 88, no great find there, not at that price. Hold out for a better one.

I suspect that's an 86/87 SE with a fastback conversion. The interior looks like mine and the general appearance suggests a car that's had a hard life. I'd avoid it.

Run the VIN number and figure out if it's an 88 or not. Then start trying to decide if you want it. If you do, with the economy being what it is, make him an offer that would make it a good deal for you.
