I have a DEH 77 and it doesn't quite fit w/o shaving down the console face some. I does fit but not loose enough to remove the face plate without a boatload of pressure. Mine also sticks out slightly, like maybe 1/16" or so, so that the console face doesn't sit quite flat, and has a slight bend to it. It might be something behind it, but I cant feel anything back there.

If anyone has brackets for one, I don't have any on mine, the console face is just holding it in.

It is so funny you would post this. This is the exact same thing I am considering (different radio, but same idea).
It fit ands looks perfect. Plus (and this is important) it has all of the things one would need to run audio, like an iPod adapter, aux in, line outs, etc...
Here's the one I am looking at.

Well there are three kinds of marine radios
1) single din usually called weatherproof
2) din 1/2 same as GM usually called water proof
3) other shapes.

Weatherproof are often single din in an enlosed casing making it 1.5 din but some are same size as fiero.

YES LIKELY

Well so far DVD is rating over satillite navigation with me for $ but you may also like this.

Alpine make a 1.5 din sat nav but it is no good for me as i know i cant get maps for Australia for the first 3 models (4 models RB1,RB2,RB2,RB4) and well i just wouldn't use it. I know where everything is in Sydney.
Other models from alpine without dvd but fit Alpine CDA-D857

PO installed the Pioneer DEH-P77DH and so far it's been really great. It also doesn't look horribly out of place. Now I just have to replace the speakers.

That Clarion CMV1 looks great. The color of the buttons match the Fiero's and the silver surround ties in the 84-87 radio surround color. If you get it post some picutres of it installed.

Nice, I'd love to get something like that. $500 though. Wonder how difficult it would be to adapt in a Fiero...?

yup, me too. great unit. also have a CD changer on the IP Bus. soon to switch the CD changer for a 1/8" mini plug for MP3 players - since that is where my music now is. I was able to take the brackets off the stock unit, and put them on the Pioneer. wasnt' perfect - but it hold it solid. and - yes - same issue with the console face not quite fitting. I've done little shaving here & there to make it better - but - at this point, it is close enough.

Hard to justify price but looks fantastic i would have to pay shipping on that end up around $100 for just a plate. I would rather spend $20 on ebay for an adapter as i want a black one anyway i got enough badges on car as it is. I just didn't want the stereo sticking out too far so thought i would view all options.
