Anyone here into vintage racing?
A threat in TO/T got me thinking about it and I checked and there is a vintage class for Fieros.

Looks like they use SCCA IT categorgy regs, but it looks like much more fun than parking lot autox.
Funny that it lists a maximum 14x7" wheel for the Fiero. My stock Formula wheels are too big?

The Fiero is listed in Group 8, which puts it in the same class as cars like:
Lotus Super 7
Datsun 240Z
BMW 2002
Sunbeam Tiger
Porsche 911, 914, 924, 944
Datsun 510
Alfa Romeo GTV

Don't know if it could be competitive, but it could be a lot of fun.

So, anyone setup a vintage racing Fiero before?

I've got a Huffaker tribute car '86 GT prepared for ChumpCar competition that would probably work quite well in this class. As of now, it's completely stock, with exception to a rear sway bar. Too bad they specify 14" wheels... especially since GT's came with bigger ones, stock.
