Jay is a car lover hands down, there's no reason for him not too own one! As crazy as it sounds but the fiero does hold a special place in automotive history!

Jay Leno likes all kinds of cars. He has a Corvair Rampside pickup truck. He doesn't buy only expensive collectibles. However, I seriously doubt a man who has destroyed Fieros on TV for fun would buy one to restore.

I asked my Uncle in Phoenix to ask him about Fiero's. Jay is a friend of his, and they talk quite often on the phone, and get together now and then. My uncle is a big car buff, has some AWESOME cars. He started installing glass in houses when he was like 19 years old, then to businesses, then started his own single truck business.... and now owns one of the largest glass installers in Phoenix.
I talked ot him a couple of weeks ago, and he said he did mention it to Jay, and he just laughed it off without making any real comments.... oh well.
Here are a few pictures in my uncle's garage. (If I only had a garage like that to work in ! ! ! ! )
"For a long time I drove a Pontiac Fiero, and that thing wasn't particularly fast but it drove like a go-kart and if you had enough time it would eventually go fast. I still have that car and put a lot of miles on it, but it had a tiny gas tank and I was forever running out of gas."

When we did that Peterson Museum tour, I remember he was walking out of the museum as our Fiero caravan was pulling in. He looked at my GT briefly. That's my Jay Leno and Fiero memory .

IMO, this is reason enough for Leno to never own a Fiero, those two hate each other. If Leno bought one, it would not surprise me if he'd find Letterman's old one just to firebomb it. Based on the way Letterman trash talks Leno, I wouldn't blame him.
